The topic of the diploma thesis is development education in teaching geography. The main objective of this thesis is to create author's own design of teaching activities focused on development education in teaching geography at the 2nd level of primary schools. The presented thesis consists of two parts, the theoretical part and the practical part based on it. The theoretical part is primarily focused on defining basic terminology, it introduces main starting points, principles, objectives, topics and methods of DE. Furthermore, the author deals with the importance and position of DE in selected European countries. She focuses in more detail on the field of education in the Czech Republic and the main curricular documents. The practical part of the work contains three teaching activities, including the principles and topics of DE, through which the students are acquainted with selected global problems of today's world. The individual activities are briefly introduced in the introductory part, followed by the methodological structure and possibly the implementation of the activity in practice.

In todays complicated world global Education brings a new approach towards a man. Theoretical part of thesis introduces its philosophical bases, characteristics, teaching principles, environmental aspect and main objectives. It emphasises close connnection to other education areas and areas in the Czech educational system where global Education should be practised. Theses describes teaching methods for global Education suitable for primary school children. Work describes connection between development of self-belief and global responsibility of a child. Empiric part uses methods of interview, observation and educational artefact analysis. Results approve importance of the artefact supporting self-belief in educational process.
Position of Global Education in Primary School

This diploma thesis focuses on Global Development Education (GDE) and its position in education at primary school. The main aims of this work are to find out why it is important to integrate global development issues in education, what are primary school kids preconditions for working with global issues and how can teachers integrate global issues to education. The theoretical part of the thesis begins with definition of GDE, then it is devoted its specifics in primary school education, its place in curricular documents and how it is integrated into education. In empiric part, GDE is investigated by questionnaire survey and interviews if the topics of GDE are incorporated into education, how often and what is the reason for this integration.

This thesis focuses on the topic of Global development education using the pedagogical approach of Philosophy for children. The main objective is to develop its own proposal of educational materials. Which will deal with the possibilities of using this theme to the first grade of primary school. The theoretical part is divided into two parts, the first is characterized by Global development education and the second the Philosophy for children. In the practical part we are shown three draft their own learning activities, which are fully capable of being put into teaching practice of geography at 1st level of basic education, especially for 4th and 5th grade.

In the first theoretical part of the thesis, I focus on explaining terms such as globalization, crisis of upbringing, civic responsibility, global upbringing, global developmental education, and educational reform. In the case study, I describe the ways global development education is provided by NaZemi.
Sustainable development as a principles of education in free time

This thesis Sustainable development as principles of pedagogy of leisure time is about connection between the environmental education and sustainable development principles. The main goal of this thesis was creating metodology of freetime activities for children in pre-school age. Activities come from the sustainable development principles and arouse enviromental feelings in children. The first theoretic part acquaints us with enviromental education terms, global education terms and explains term of sustainable development in detail, its progress and main terms summary. This thesis explains their primary aspects which affects human behavior and their positive influence on individual behavior towards nature. One chapter introduces organisations that deal with enviromental education and which deserve on education for sustainable development. The second practical part of .work includes project the whole day nature trail. The nature trail is tailored to 5-6 years old children. It´s methodically constructed for the enviromental education organisations. Project´s goal is arousing interest about nature and animals. Project gives children basics of knowledges about events in nature, our dependence on nature and a fact, that we are a part of nature through the entertainig.
Proposal for implementation of global education for children of primary school age (including comparison of education systems in developed and developing countries, focusing on the Czech Republic and Namibia respectively)

Diploma thesis delivers a global education methodology for schoolchildren, designed for teachers and including materials for students. Suggestions are based on theoretical knowledge centred on the comparison of education systems in developed and developing countries, focusing on the Czech Republic and Namibia respectively. The theoretical part of the thesis is the process of developing the concept of global education via a Czech concept known by the acronym GRV. The thesis further develops the theoretical basis of the GRV concept by establishing criteria using suitable GRV material. It also considers the current state of GRV in context of primary education in Czech schools and opportunities for more effective implementation in the Czech educational system.
Environmental Education Influence on Preschool Children's Formation of Ecological Literacy

The main aim of the final thesis is to verify effeciency of targeted enviromental education in kindegarten, its influence on shaping bases of ecoliteracy of children at the preschool age. We observed finfings about nature, changes in children behaviour and conductions, gradual establishment of relationship to the enviroment. In the theoretical part are explained terms such as ecology, enviromental/ecological education, ecoliteracy, global education and education of sustainable development. In the practical part is formulated and implemented class educational programm composed of six integrated topic units focused on enviromental education. By the observation and interviews with children we found out that the targeted enviromental education had a positive impact on forming the relationships toward the nature, encouraged interest of children in science activities, expanded awarness about the enviroment and created the bases of suitable attitudes and values leading to sustainable development.
