Plasma surface modification of glass fibers on a basis of organosilicones
Veteška, Jaromír ; Salyk, Ota (referee) ; Čech, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis is aimed at preparation of thin plasma-polymerized films deposited on glass fibers by Plasma-Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (PE CVD) from a mixture of tetravinylsilane (TVS) and oxygen gas. Plasma-polymerized films which were deposited on silicon wafers were used to characterize chemical properties and optimization of deposition process with respect to reproducibility.
Effect of glass fibers in the lead-acid batteries for hybrid electric vehicles
Klojda, Viktor ; Tošer, Pavel (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
Master´s thesis deals with the utilization of lead-acid accumulators in hybrid electric vehicle regime. It describes the side effects known as PCL, generated during PSOC regime and connected with the length of the battery lifespan. One possibility how to eliminate these effects, is the use of additives in active mass of the negative electrode, in the form of glass fibres. The project provides the parametres and reactions of additive, that have lead to the improvement of battery properties. The purpose of this thesis is to verify the positive effect of the aditive on the lifespan of the lead-acid accumulator.
Assessment of fracture risk for a langlauf ski made as a glass fibre reinforced sandwich
Láštic, Daniel ; Majer, Zdeněk (referee) ; Burša, Jiří (advisor)
The first part of bachelor’s thesis is devoted to basic theoretical knowledge about usage of sandwich theory of beams, which are made of different materials in the core and faces. This part includes brief description of composites (common car- rying component of sandwich structures) with emphasis put on the fibre compo- sites and laminates. A special characteristic of composites – orthotropy is men- tioned. The second part is focused on description of obtaining of elastic constants of materials used in the real cross-country ski by experiment, on stress calculation and fracture risk assessment in cross-country ski made as sandwich structure for the most adverse operational state. The solution is executed with the help of an- alytical formulas of mechanics of materials derived in this part. The problem is also solved using finite element method (FEM) employing ANSYS software.
Possibility of using of fibre-concrete at composite steel-concrete structures
Pozdíšek, Jan ; Karmazínová, Marcela (advisor)
The aim of the offered thesis is an analysis of usage of uncommon concrete matrix and its contribution to steel-concrete composites structures. It especially refers to the area of internal supports, where usually acts negative bending moments. These statical systems are very often used for bridge structures, or even for building constructions. Nowdays, the static infuence of concrete at the area of negative moment is neglected. Only the steel part of cross section and steel reinforcement are included to the static action. This work is focused on the usage of tensile strength of uncommon concrete. The improvement of tensile strength of cement matrix is due to glass fiber reinforcement acting as scattered reinforcing. The introduction is focused on common approach of design of the structures mentioned above. Next, there is a part which describes possibilites of using fibre reinforcing until nowdays.
