Supplier Evaluation in Terms of Risk Using Fuzzy Logic
Švach, Šimon ; Podešva, Lukáš (referee) ; Janková, Zuzana (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the evaluation of supplier risk using fuzzy logic-based models. Two models for supplier risk assessment have been developed in MS Excel and MATLAB software, which serve as a qualified basis for managerial decisions on supplier selection. Specific case studies were developed from the perspective of Hydraulics Ltd., a company that requires manufacturing services in the field of industrial machining and hydraulic systems. Based on the models, one or more least risky suppliers are selected, and measures are proposed to reduce supplier risk.
The Risk of Supplier Selection Using Fuzzy Logic
Popek, Tomáš ; Podešva, Lukáš (referee) ; Janková, Zuzana (advisor)
This thesis deals with the evaluation of the risk posed to Kofola ČeskoSlovensko a.s. by its label suppliers. The developed decision models use the theory of fuzzy logic and are created in MS Excel and MATLAB. According to the resulting evaluation, the suppliers are divided into predetermined categories that describe how much supplier risk they represent for the company. The results from the two programs are compared and measures are also suggested to improve the quality of the services delivered and therefore reduce the supplier risk.
Use of Fuzzy Logic for Supplier Risk Assessment
Kvasnička, Jan ; Podešva, Lukáš (referee) ; Janková, Zuzana (advisor)
This master ’s thesis deals with the assesment of supplier risk for company TIPO Litomyšl using fuzzy logic. The main part deals with the creation of decision models using MS Excel and MATLAB program environment. Based on the percentage assessment, individual suppliers are divided into four groups, which express the degree of supplier risk. In the last part the results of both models are compared and the best result is determined using the arithmetic mean. At the end, a measure/recommendation is created for each group on how to work with the resulting risk or how to minimize or eliminate the results.
Application of Fuzzy Logic for Decision Support in Financial Markets
Malers, Anatolii ; Šuňavcová, Nikola (referee) ; Janková, Zuzana (advisor)
The master‘s thesis deals with the use of fuzzy model in the investment decision on financial markets mainly with SICAV funds. This model is used for easier and faster decision when choosing a suitable investment for investors. The fuzzy model is created on the basis of criteria that are essential for making decision. This model is designed by MS Excel and MathWorks Matlab.
Evaluation of information systems via fuzzy logic
Hubík, Antonín ; Václavík, Lukáš (referee) ; Janková, Zuzana (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with the application of fuzzy logic principles to evaluate properties of an information system. The practical problem being adressed is a facilitation of selection of a new HR/attendance system according to the needs of a specific mediumsized enterprise, using a custom-fitted fuzzy model design to compare available options. The design of the model is based on system requirements determined from a business analysis and is supported by key theory from the field of fuzzy logic and modelling. The proposed model is implemented in MS Excel and MATLAB environments. The implementations are demonstrated by evaluating five system options. Based on the results, one of the options is recommended for further consideration.
Evaluation of information systems via fuzzy logic
Příkaský, Martin ; Václavík, Lukáš (referee) ; Janková, Zuzana (advisor)
The topic of the thesis is the design and implementation of decision models for the evaluation of information systems with regard to the growing importance of the effective use of information resources in organizations. Within this thesis, these decision models are developed in MS Excel and MathWorks MATLAB environments and use fuzzy logic to account for the uncertainty and complexity of decision situations. The aim of this work is to provide Q2 Interactive with an effective tool for selecting an appropriate information system.
Application of Fuzzy Logic for Evaluating Investments in Stock Markets
Mišičák, Filip ; Janková, Zuzana (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
The theme of this thesis is the application of fuzzy logic decision support in stock markets.. It theoretically describes the principles of fuzzy logic and selected tools used for trading on stock markets. In the practical part of the work, this information is applied to develop two models for evaluating ETFs using fuzzy logic. Both models, one in MATLAB and the other in Excel, are based on the same fund criteria, yet each model processes and evaluates these inputs using different methods. The results from these models then serve to support decisionmaking for investors.
Use of fuzzy logic for banking risk assessment
Maňková, Veronika ; Bobalová, Martina (referee) ; Janková, Zuzana (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the use of fuzzy logic in the banking sector for credit risk assessment. Artificial intelligence, especially the fuzzy logic method, is used to construct a model for evaluating whether a client poses a threat to the bank or not based on their creditworthiness. The determination of a client's creditworthiness involves the evaluation of both financial and non-financial indicators. The paper further describes the use of the MATLAB tool for the development and implementation of this model. The resulting model allows banks to better understand credit risk and enables them to make more informed lending decisions.
Supplier evaluation in terms of risk using fuzzy logic
Marcinov, David ; Lána,, Radim (referee) ; Janková, Zuzana (advisor)
The master’s thesis deals with the evaluation of supplier risk of an unnamed company XYZ. The evaluation is done using fuzzy logic theory, which is applied in the decision model designed in MS Excel and MATLAB. Suppliers are divided into four groups with different degrees of significance based on point and percentage results. Groups get recommendations for future cooperation, eventual suggestions for procurations, which can lead to minimization of risks and more accurate fulfillment of requirements. The company XYZ need these requirements from its suppliers. Comparison of results from two different software is part of this thesis too.
Information System Selection
Gurka, David ; Viktorin, Ondřej (referee) ; Dydowicz, Petr (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with selection of optimal information system for medium sized engineering company. Decision to implement a new ERP system is a big step forvard and the main target of this thesis is to make the best possible recommendation how to proceed in this task. Main solution is a new ERP system for this company with economic evaluation and important benefits of this system.
