MPPT regulator of photovoltaic power plant with smart battery management
Uhlíř, Marcel ; Boušek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Háze, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis deals with design of photovoltaic controller using MPPT technology based on Perturb & Observe algorithm extended by fuzzy logic processing. The converted energy is stored in a battery system with an optional voltage 12 V or 24 V. The battery system is provided by intelligent battery management, which allows to use a voltage balancer and desulphation. The whole system can be powered by external power supply, which is used to charge the batteries if there is the absence of photovoltaic energy. The device contains 12 V and 5 V outputs for connecting external devices. Through USB and Ethernet interfaces, it communicates with utility software that allows user to configure controller parameters and display battery system values. The purpose of this work is directed to the field of portable island systems for use in residential vans or caravans.

Solar charge controllers for off-grid systems
KRČKA, Pavel
This diploma thesis deals with photovoltaic rechargable regulators used in isolated, or off-grid photovoltaic systems. First, basic types of off-grid installations, including their functions and applications in practice are described. Then, possibilities of electric energy accumulation in photovoltaic systems are mentioned, considering actual, accesible technologies. Matters of electric energy accumulation in leaden accumulators are examined in detail. Main part of the diploma thesis is about electronic designs of photovoltaic, also called solar, rechargable regulators. These are the main connecting part between photovoltaic panels, accumulator, but also often connected charge, which is appliance. Individual electronic regulators concepts are described narrowly, then compared and evaluated in thesis´ conclusion.
The apparatus for measuring optimal inclination of photovoltaic panels
KRČKA, Pavel
This Bachelor Thesis deals with the topic of transfer of solar radiation into electric energy in photovoltaic systems. At the beginning the problems of mining and combustion of fossil fuel are highlighted. After that the dispositions (possibilities) of the solar radiation that might be effectively used in photovoltaic systems are described. There is also the photoelectric effect, on which the function of various photovoltaic cell types representing the basic constructional elements of each photovoltaic panel described here in detail. The main part of the text is then focused on development of a tool capable of measuring the optimum angle and position of photovoltaic panels, at which the photovoltaic panels should have the maximum energetic yield during a day in a specific season of a year.
