Skin dose mapping for fluoroscopically guided interventions in cardiology
Melichar, Ondřej ; Králík, Martin (referee) ; Mézl, Martin (advisor)
The subject of this work is an issue analysis of possible skin damage inflicted during fluoroscopically guided surgery and design of a radiation dose tracking software for patients undergoing an interventional cardiac surgery. The tool is implemented in Unity 3D engine. Mapping is performed by simulating the X-ray machine movement around an anthropomorphic model in conjunction with simulated irradiation using rays emitted from the X-ray machine. The input data needed for dose tracking compose of radiation dose structured report and patient specific biometrics depending on the anthropomorphic model used. Output data is presented as a heatmap mapped directly onto patient’s 3D. This can be used for early diagnostics of radiation dermatitis.

Fluoroscopy in Písek Hospital a.s.
VYSOKOMÝTSKÁ, Jiřina
The Fluoroscopy is nowadays increasingly replaced by other investigative methods, including CT examinations and more. Their number is currently falling slowly. The aim of the bachelor thesis was to analyze the possibilities of Fluoroscopy examinations in Hospital Písek, a.s. during 11 years (2006-2016) and potential substitution by other imaging methods. Another target was to compare the results with the statistics in the Czech Republic, which deals in particular with the total number of digestive tract tests carried out from 2007 till 2015 in all radio-diagnostic facilities. The theoretical part deals with Fluoroscopy and everything that belongs to it. It describes what X-ray radiation and its biological effects are. The largest part is devoted to X-ray techniques, contrast substances and Fluoroscopic examination. Describes parts from which Fluoroscopy is comprising. It also focuses on contrast substances, their classification and what double contrast examination is. The last chapters deal with Fluoroscopic examination, which were carried out at the Písek Hospital, a.s.. The data for a practical part of statistic evaluation was obtained from Písek Hospital, a.s. during the four months from December 2016 till March 2017, data collection was carried out in the form of printed operation report. The data was written in tables for each year separately, then divided into tables according to type of examination, sex and age. The simple abstract of the radiology activities and imaging methods for the period 2007-2015 was downloaded from ÚZIS. The downloaded data was focused only for a gastrointestinal tract radiology and a table to compares the data with the research.

Author's title and name: Bc. Veronika Součková Institute: Charles University, Prague 1. Faculty of medicine Kateřinská 32, 121 08, Prague 2 Study branch: follow-up Master's - intensive care Study programme: specialization in intensive care Title: Nasojejunal tube placement techniques Consultant: MUDr. František Novák, Ph.D. Number of pages: 81 Number of attachments: 3 Number of tables, grafs and pictures: 24 Year of presentation: 2013 Keywords: Nasojejunal tube, placement techniques, enteral nutrition, endoscopy, fluoroscopy, blind bedside technique This dissertation is dedicated to the issue and options in the field of nasojejunal tubes placement technique. Theoretical part aims at the description of methods and procedures of placing the nasojejunal tube and briefly mentions possible complications and principles of enteral nutrition, which is administrated by this method. Empirical part of the dissertation aims at the comparison of placement the nasojejunal tube using the blind bedside technique developed at intensive care unit in General University Hospital in Prague to, endoscopic and fluoroscopic methods. The research brings description and comparison of the most frequently used methods of placement the feeding tube into the small intestine.

Investigative methods of gastrointestinal tract
ZATLOUKALOVÁ, Jana
The bachelor thesis deals with investigative methods of examination of the gastrointestinal tract and their frequency in a given period carried out in the Hospital of Milosrdní bratří Brno, Znojmo Hospital and the Hospital of Uherské Hradiště a. s. It is graphically processed amount of medical services carried out during 20092014. Data were obtained from the database od radiodiagnostic department. It also to evaluates the work of radiological assistant during these medical examinations. I tried to point out that the basis of good results of individual tests is not only professionalism, both theoretical and practical knowledge of radiology assistant, but also sensitive and helpful and respectfull psychological support to the patient, which may fundamentally affect the test results.
Radiographer role in non-vascular intervention procedures and their frequency at Imaging clinic of Faculty Hospital Motol in years 2008 - 2013.
BOROVCOVÁ, Veronika
This bachelor thesis focuses on non-vascular interventions, which are carried out at the Imaging clinic of Faculty Hospital Motol. The area of interest was fixed to the adult part of this clinic. The most frequently performed interventions were described and for aech of these examinations was depicted the role of radiographer (patient preparation, sterila table and instrumentation preparation) and it´s operating procedures. The other part of the thesis pays atention to statistical analysis of the frequency of individual most often led examinations. The statistical overview was done by using tables but also graphs. The examinations are devided according to their modalities based on where they were ran. This division was left for statistical part, as well. The period of time, which was trailed in this thesis makes 6 years, since 2008 to 2013. The obtained data displays the individual frequency of interventions and covers complete overview in mentioned issue.
Protection of persons present at examinations using ionising radiation.
MRÁZEK, Jiří
This bachelor{\crq}s thesis, entitled Protection of persons present at examinations using of ionizing radiation, seeks to summarize particular methods of radiation protection of medical personnel performing activities involving sources of the ionizing radiation. The introductory part highlights the need of the personnel to be acquainted with certain aspects of radiological physics, with effects of ionizing radiation on the human body, with a possibility of its detection, principles of radiation protection, and its optimization. In the following section the thesis points to the legislation in the area of radiation protection. It considers how are the radiation protection and its optimization interpreted at the radio-diagnostic department. Furthermore, it compares specific data resulting from personal monitoring of selected radiological personnel of the Central Military Hospital in Prague with limits of exposure set up by legislation. The data obtained by the monitoring are then sorted and compared using various examination methods. The thesis seeks to prove that compliance with the principles of radiation protection results in values of the individual monitoring of the personnel not exceeding the limits of exposure set up by legislation. Based on particular results it aims to determine how demanding individual examination methods in terms of the personnel{\crq}s radiation exposure are. This thesis should therefore help not only radiological assistants, but also doctors, nurses, and other personnel working with sources of ionizing radiation understand how important are the protection against ionizing radiation and compliance with principles of radiation protection for reduction of the radiation doses received.
