Evaluation of user interface COMES
Škoda, Pavel ; Štohl, Radek (referee) ; Pásek, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with analysis of user interface of system COMES. Its aim is to create a study with user feedback regarding this system. Then the system COMES can be improved based on obtained information. Firstly, there are written information about designing the correct user-friendly interface focusing primarily on easy operation and communication with user. Subsequently methods of measuring user interface are divided and described. In the second part, questionnaire was made up. It helps users test system COMES and evaluates this information. The most important part of this thesis is the last chapter. It describes the possible improvements of the existing system which eliminate identified deficiencies.
A Generator of Arithmetic Circuits
Klhůfek, Jan ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (referee) ; Mrázek, Vojtěch (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to present the design and implementation of an arithmetic circuit generator. The generator focuses on generating various output representations of arithmetic circuits in flattened and hierarchical forms using the Python programming language. The work first deals with the specification of HW structures of individual arithmetic circuits and the corresponding ways of describing these structures into various representations. Followed by an introduction to the concept and details of the implementation of a tool called ArithsGen, which is able to generate arithmetic circuits and export them to various output representations. The output representations are then used for fast and simple simulation of the designed circuits (C), to describe the hardware structures and perform logic synthesis (Verilog), to formal verify the designs (BLIF) or to globally optimize the circuits using the evolutionary strategy (CGP). Finally, the generated representations were individually tested and compared with each other using the results obtained from logic synthesis.
Typography of web design
Uhlířová, Martina ; Brejcha, Jan (advisor) ; Malečková, Dita (referee)
Typography is one of the most important elements of web design and marketing. Good typography makes web design more appealing, which is important for readers in evaluating titles and the quality of text. The aim of this thesis is to provide a characterization of good and bad typography. I will use this characterization to identify modern typographical trends in a digital background. In the theoretical part, I will describe the basic features of typography. In the practical part, I will distinguish appealing typography and visual smog, and find specific examples demonstrating typographical trends in web design.
