Software Multi-Effect for Post-Production of Pop Music
Trkal, Tomáš ; Glembek, Ondřej (referee) ; Černocký, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with design and implementation of complex software system for post-production of popular music. The system was implemented as a plug-in module in C++ language using JUCE application framework. The emphasis was on creating a well arranged and intuitive graphic user interface. The plug-in provides a set of audio effects and processors that can be connected into the desired graph structure. For less experienced users, there is a database of preset configurations usable for a variety of input signals.
Design and realization of the pedal effect on Arduino platform
Gajarský, Tomáš ; Schimmel, Jiří (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
The topic of my bachelor’s thesis is the design and the construction of the pedal effect used by the Arduino Due, which is supplemented by the possibility of controlling through the internal web interface, which is mediated by the modul Arduino Ethernet Shield. The following effects are included: echo, tremolo, vibrato, chorus and flanger. For editing the guitar signal in order to interact with AD microcontroller converter, is used the input filter preamplifier circuit. In order of editing the output signal from Arduino is used summing and filtring output circuit for the guitar amplifier. The basic component for these circuits is operating amplifier OPA1644. The goal of this thesis was to create the proposal of the connection schemes, printed circuit board, the program code of the microcontroller, simple web page, as well as the construction and the measurement of the pedal effect.
Sound Effect "Glitch Machine"
Cimmerman, Matej ; Mošner, Ladislav (referee) ; Černocký, Jan (advisor)
This thesis addresses software music effects and their implementation. It shows design and implementation of the Glitch Machine, which belongs to the music multieffect programs and demonstrates the simultaneous use of various music effects to process audio signals. The result is a program for Windows OS, which utilizes cooperation of various effects, namely a filter, reverb, distortion, extractor, reverz, stutter, shifter, pitch resample and gain. It allows extensive and detailed editing of an audio track and a higher extent of manipulation with sounds, than with single music effects. Other components of the program include visualisations of the waveform and frequency spectrum of audio signals and an option for loading and saving effect presets. The program was tested in tests of the performance and memory usage and also with user testing of quality and graphical interface.
