Dialogue as a way to develop a child's personality
ČINÁTLOVÁ, Martina
The main theme of my bachelor thesis is the use of dialogue in education - the tool for this is philosophical dialogue as used in Philosophy for Children. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the concept of Philosophy for Children is introduced, including some works by the Swiss author Eva Zöller Morf. This approach is complemented by the developmental characteristics of the preschool years and the possibility of supporting the development of moral reasoning and emotional competences to which P4C can contribute. The practical part summarises action research carried out in one kindergarten. It contains a record of five meetings in which the starting point was reading books and reflecting together on the themes of their stories. In the process, the children learned to become aware of various ambiguities and to voice them aloud, while also being able to respond to each other later, to think together and to move the discussions forward. During the conversations they listened to each other and commented factually or less factually on the topic.

The Russian Nights of V. F. Odoyevsky Abstract The theme of this bachelor thesis is a book of Russian author and philosopher Vladimir Odoyevsky, who lived in 19th century in Romantic Period. This book was his most important work and he named it The Russian Nights. The symbol of this title and the others motives are part of this work, same as author's view on human being. Odoyevsky has different heroes with the same type of substance and for them he creates different situations, in which is formed the contrast of the brilliant mind of his main characters and ability to perform their talent. Readers can see heroes' way of living in society, when their extraordinary ideas have never realized. The type of hero - insane genius is a typical for Odoyevsky and this element was an inspiration for all great authors in Russian literature in 19th century. The practical part attempts to apply the experiential game as a stimulus to Philosophical Dialogue. It is a creative project, which focuses on the possible usage of the experiential game and the philosophical dialogue in one educational programme both in the formal and non-formal environment. Its content is derived from the Framework Education Programme for Elementary Education edited by The Czech Republic Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MEYS) in 2017.
