The evolution of night shooting
Frkal, Tomáš ; MACÁK, Jiří (advisor) ; WEISER, Antonín (referee)
The thesis focuses on the historical development of night shots, which are mainly limited by the technological possibilities. Besides the impact of the digital revolution, the light sensitive cameras and new lightening techniques, it is also a matter of trends. The success of night scenes are determined by the difficult circumstances in the production and the viewers acceptance. Apart from the technological aspects this paper focuses on the different styles of night shots, that have been changing through the decades. The paper starts by describing the physiology of the human eye, continues with the realisation of night shots and finishes with assumptions for the future.
