Vliv modernizace stáje na produkční ukazatele v chovu kachen
FULÍN, Ondřej
The subject of the thesis was the analysis of performance characteristics of the broiler Peking duck hybrid Cherry Valley SM3 in the Smilkov a.s. enterprise in the modernized barn in comparison with the data obtained before the modernization of the barn (original barn). Practical monitoring was carried out in the modernised barn, in which a controlled microclimate was applied. Each round was stocked with a quantity of 3 200 ducks. The weighting was always 1 % of the total stacked turn, i.e. 32 ducks. During the period under review, data were collected from 7 turnovers at weekly intervals starting from stacking, i.e., day 1 of age to day 42 of age of the ducks. From the 3rd week of age onwards, the live weight of ducks was lower in the upgraded barn. It was found that at 42 days of age, the live weight in the original barn was 3 596 g, whereas, in the upgraded barn, the live weight decreased to 3 335 g (difference of 261 g). Thus, the data obtained in the modernised barn also showed a lower average daily gain over the period under study (77.8 g), which started to lag behind the average daily gain from the original barn (82.6 g) during fattening, as was the case for the live weight from 3 weeks of age. The difference in average daily gain over the period considered was 4.6 g. The reduction in live weight and average daily gain was related to a reduction in compound feed consumption. During the period under review, the consumption of compound feed decreased from 165.1 t (original barn) to 152.0 t (modernised barn). With lower compound feed consumption, feed conversion improved slightly, decreasing from 2,30 kg/1 kg gain in the original barn to 2,28 kg/ 1 kg gain in the modernised barn. Mortality increased in the modernised barn from 2.87 % to 3.27 % (a difference of 0.40 %). On the basis of the analysis of the mortality data, it can be concluded that the higher mortality was probably due to insufficient cleaning of the sheds or failure to comply with all the disinfection principles when preparing the shed for the following turn.
Anorganicky vázaný Se a kmín kořenný (Carum carvi) v dietě pomalu rostoucích kuřat
Burian, Tomáš
The thesis deals with inorganically bound selenium and carraway in the diet of slow growing chickens. The thesis is divided into two parts - a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with the anatomy of the digestive tract of the domestic chicken, nutrition and feeding of slow-growing chickens, then selenium in the diet of broilers, and finally caraway (Carum Carvi) in animal diets. The practical part of the thesis deals with an experiment carried out on 144 slow-growing roosters of the hybrid breed Hubbard JA 57 A. These broilers were divided into 4 groups according to the addition of ingredients to the feed. The first group (n=36) was the control and had no additive in the diet. The second group (n=36) had an addition of 0.4 mg/kg inorganically bound selenium in the diet. The third group (n=36) had selenium supplemented with 1% caraway. The feed ration of the fourth group (n=36) contained only the addition of 1 % caraway. The aim was to investigate the effect of inorganically bound selenium and caraway on feed consumption, feed conversion, animal weights during and at the end of fattening, carcass and main cut parts yield, blood plasma selenium content and blood biochemical parameters. From the above results, it is evident that the effect of addition of selenium and caraway to the feed mixture of broiler chickens, was not statistically proven (P>0.05) in feed consumption, feed conversion, weight of chickens, carcass and major cut parts yield and blood biochemical parameters. On the other hand, there was statistical evidence (P<0.05) of the effect of inorganic selenium supplementation on the groups compared to the groups without such supplementation.
Efektivita produkce brojlerových kuřat v závislosti na délce výkrmu a na ročním období
Galata, Jan
The efficiency of broiler chickens for fattening depends, among other things, on the length of fattening and utilization of the genetic potential of fast-growing broiler chickens. The aim of the diploma thesis was to evaluate the influence of the farm on the utility parameters during their internal classification according to the length of fattening in the Light or Heavy segment and to compare the utility of both segments with each other. Another aim was to evaluate the effect of the season on the utility parameters of chickens. Two farms in the Light segment and three in the Heavy segment were included in the monitoring. Age for distribution into these segments was determined to be 36 days. Performance parameters included: day 7 weight, slaughter age, slaughter weight, convert, 1.5 kg weight conversion, mortality, daily weight gain and IEV. In the evaluation of the effect of the annual period, 178 turnuses from fattening in the years 2021–2023 were included in the observation. In the Light segment assessment, the farm had a conclusive effect on slaughter weight, feed conversion at the end of fattening weight at 1.5 kg, daily gain and IEV (P < 0.05). Conversely, in the Heavy segment, there was no evidence of a difference in feed conversion between farms, neither in the weight of 1.5 kg nor in slaughter weight. When the segments were evaluated, IEV was significantly lower (P < 0.05) for the Heavy segment. The best daily weight gains and IEV reached chickens fattened in the autumn (P < 0.05).
Vliv podmínek inkubace na parametry užitkovosti brojlerových kuřat
Opavská, Tereza
This thesis deals with the effect of increased temperature during first 36 hours of incubation on embryonic development, hatchability, day-old chicks quality and subsequently on their growth. The chickens of the control group were hatched at a standard temperature of 100,8 °F and the experimental group had increased temperature of 102,5 °F for the first 36 hours of incubation. The growth experiment was performer on 423 roosters of the Ross 308 hybrid combination from hatch to day 31 of age. The day-old chicks from the control group weighed statistically significantly (P<0,05) more than the experimental group. However, at 10 and 17 day of age, no statistically significant (P>0,05) difference was found between the groups. At the 24 and 31 day of age, the average weight of control group was again statistically significantly (P<0,05) higher than the weight of the experimental group. There was no significant difference in the hatchability of fertilized eggs, which was 92,2 % in the control group and 90,4 % in the experimental group. However, the mean embryonic mortality was 1,76 % and the late mortality 2,47 % in the control group, while the mean mortality was 0,71 % and the late 4,17 % in the experimental group, these differences were statistically significant (P<0,05). The difference in the average weight of the yolk sacs, in the proportion of yolk sacs from live weight and in the activity of T3 (thyroid hormone triiodothyronine), which reached 1,38 nmol/l in day-old chicks of the control group and 1,35 nmol/l in the experimental group was not statistically significant (P>0,05). No statistically significant (P>0,05) difference was found in feed conversion. Based on the results, the increased incubation temperature (102,5 ° F) has had a negative impact on the growth of broiler chickens.
Influence of supplementary feeding on productive indicators of fishes
ZEMAN, Ondřej
This paper evaluates the influence of supplementary feeding of multi-species stocks with various densities on productive indicators of the common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) and conversion of feeding. The chosen issue has been researched as a feeding experiment for 145 days at the joint-stock company Rybářství Třeboň, in four ponds of the Naděje fish pond system (Nadějská rybniční soustava) and two control fish ponds situated in the near of the village Ponědrážka. In the ponds, there were two different stocking densities. Fished were supplementary fed by heat treated wheat. The achieved results compare fishes' growth depending on the feeding conversion in various breeding condition.
