Migrace pracovníků ve vědě a výzkumu: případová studie vybraných brněnských center excelence

The main theme of this thesis is the evaluation of motives for the migration of highly qualified workers in science and research in Brno. The thesis identifies factors that are important for scientists from two selected centres of excellence in workrelated migration. Further, the perception of the satisfaction of these people with the environment of the city of Brno is captured. The results are segmented according to socioeconomic, family, career and other attributes. Based on the outputs of the quantitative survey and the consultation with experts, recommendations are proposed to make the conditions for incoming highly qualified scientists more attractive. These recommendations are aimed both at the South Moravian region and the city of Brno, as well as at the involved centres of scientific excellence.
Analysis of factors of foreign student migration to Czech Republic

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to analyze factors of foreign student migration to Czech Republic. First part is focused on the main theories of migration and defines individual characteristics associated with migration. Next part of the thesis specifies recent development in immigration and higher education of foreigners in Czech Republic. The main third part of the thesis defines determinants of student migration decision. The result of the empirical study shows the effect of these economic factors of migration within study migration decision: standard of living, unemployment rate, average incomes, national health and social services expenditures or immigration policy. However, these factors are significantly outclassed by noneconomic factors just as political destabilization, mutual intelligibility of languages and geographical proximity.
Factors of Migration and Quantification its Impacts on Migration Policy

This bachelor thesis deals with migration issues and focuses on the Czech Republic and the Switzerland. It describes national structure of migrants in both countries and pursues spheres its effects on the labor market. On the basis of historical data and analysis of accessible information goes into amount of migrants, problems caused by migration and further shows its consequences. This thesis is focused on various factors of migration, it answers the question why is the total share of migrants in the Switzerland almost five times higher than the total share in the Czech Republic.
