Christov, Tomáš ; Černá, Iveta (advisor) ; Bolotov, Ilya (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to analyse the export promotion instruments applied by the U.S. federal government, their impacts on the U.S. economy and the evolution of U.S. foreign trade in recent years. The thesis systematically describes the export promotion instruments and rules that have to be obeyed when it comes to their application in practice. The OECD Consensus represents a complex system of rules which regulate the application of officially supported export credits and export credit insurance. The thesis thereinafter analyses the impacts of National export initiative adopted by Obama administration and the impacts of programs of federal export agencies on the evolution of the U.S. economy. It also deals with the analysis of individual trade agreements which the USA signed with other states in order to enhance the U.S. companies' access to new markets as well as with the evolution of the U.S. foreign trade in recent years. The thesis also includes subjective opinions on the activities of the U.S. federal government regarding the export promotion but it does not intend to influence the reader who has to make his own opinion on this topic.
