The underground pneumatic energy storage
Pochylý, Jiří ; Škorpík, Jiří (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the underground compressed air enery storage. Thesis can be divided into several parts. The first part focuses on the theoretical analysis which decribes reason of renewable resources implementation to the electric grid and how renewable resources affect electric grid. Second part describes compression and expansion stage. Last part deals with design of storage facility which is suitable for different energy supplies. Extracted coal mines of Rosicko-Oslavany area is used as suitable underground storage.
Expansion Turbine
Hlavinka, Miloslav ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
The content of this bachelor thesis is the analysys of a problem of expansion turbines and their usage in the gas-steam cycle. In the first part the respective parts of the combided cycle are described, Brayton cycle and Rankine-Clausius cycle. The gas-steam cycle is discribed subsequently. In the second part the natural gas is briefly described and how it gets to us. There is described the conventional natural gas reduction station and the conventional process steam reduction station. The main part is a description of the expansion turbine, division of turbines, caluclation of efficiency and a description of steam and natural gas expansion turbine. Then there is a describtion of the steam-gas heating plant Červený mlýn and its parts. As an example of the economic evaluation the replacement of conventional reduction station at heating plant Červený mlýn by expansion turbine is shown.
Natural gas expansion unit
Žáček, Ondřej ; Šnajdárek, Ladislav (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis "Natural gas expansion unit" relates to the problematics of gas pressure reduction from transport network of NET4GAS to the distribution network of JMP Net s.r.o. The thesis consists of three parts. In the first part the reader is introduced to the methods of natural gas pressure reduction, to the behavior and properties of natural gas and to the problematics of pressure levels of the gas pipelines. The second part describes the important segments of the expansion station in Velké Němčice such as the expansion turbine, cogeneration, regulators etc. The third part contains calculation of the most effective operation of the station.
Expansion Turbine on Natural Gas
Měřinský, Ivo ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the characteristics of natural gas and the problems of transport. Furthermore, this work deals with the most commonly used thermodynamic cycles, both steam and gas and their applications in the energy industry. The main part of this thesis focuses on the calculation of the thermodynamic properties of the gas, determine the minimum temperature gas after expansion in the turbine to prevent the formation of hydrates, design calculation of main dimensions and thermodynamic parameters of the expansion turbine on natural gas. As a final design will be drawn slice computed expansion turbine.
