The thesis focuses on the financial evaluation of the performance of Pivovar Svijany, a. s. using the benchmarking method. The first, theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the basic background necessary for solving the given problem. The second part of the thesis focuses on the characteristics of the company itself and complements it with a strategic analysis of the company. The last part of the thesis examines the comparison of the company with other competing companies based on the analysis performed. Subsequently, measures to improve the financial situation of the company are proposed.

The diploma thesis is focused on the evaluation of the financial performance of the SAPELI corporation using the benchmarking approach. First part of the thesis deals with theoretical knowledge and concepts for a given issue. Second part includes the introduction of SAPELI corp. and its rivals. The benchmarking itself and the SWOT analysis are also implemented here. The last part of the thesis includes summary of gathered information followed by suggestions and recommendations with aim to improve financial and business situation of the corporation.

The first part focuses on the theoretical background necessary for solving the given problem. The second part then characterizes the Zemědělský podnik Kvasicko, this is then complemented by a strategic analysis of the enterprise. The following part is devoted to benchmarking the enterprise with selected competitors. In the last part, measures for improving the financial and business situation are proposed.
