Crossroads of the Ethical Education in the Context of the Czech Republic and Germany

Křižovatky etické výchovy v kontextu České republiky a Německa Crossroads of the Ethical Education in the Context of the Czech Republic and Germany Ruth Kubíčková The aim of this thesis was to map the development, process of consolidation and current shape of the implementation of ethical education in the educational system of the Czech Republic and Germany. My findings corroborate the thesis that the ethical and values education, in its close relationship with religious education and the spiritual dimension in general, forms an integral part of the school system and has a significant impact on the formation of moral consciousness and competences of an individual and thus the society as a whole. The first chapter introduces the terminology of ethical education which, despite being essential for both interdisciplinary and international cooperation, has not yet been well established in the literature. The second chapter focuses on the formation of values system and shows that besides family, peers and the macro environment it is the school that plays a distinct role in the moral and character development of an individual. The Criterion of Religious Neutrality as the Current Issue of the Introduction of new Educational Projects in Czech Schools

The main goal of Thesis with name The Criterion of Religious Neutrality as the Current Issue of the Introduction of new Educational Projects in Czech Schools is to provide professional view at these projects in the meaning of their religious neutrality. For the purpose of the Thesis have been selected educational projects such as Religious Education, Ethics, Waldorf Schools and yoga exercise provided by The Yoga in Daily Life System. This Thesis is divided into three basic areas. The first part is devoted to the Czech Confession Law and legislation dealing with religious education in the Czech Republic. The second one will introduce these educational projects and their implementation in the Czech Republic, including a survey of their religious neutrality. The third area is about comparison of above mentioned educational projects with experiences of teachers in abroad.

This MA dissertation is a creative project aimed at creating a model magazine for children of primary school age which would cultivate the child reader in a manner as complex as possible. The content of this magazine is founded on a previous theoretical analysis of children's needs and takes into account their socio-cultural specifics, that is, living together with digital technologies. Subsequently, in this work, I have aimed at finding responses for such formulated requirements in the form of current educational trends and, using these in practice, I am submitting a proposal of a specific product which reflects these phenomena.
Ethical education for second period of the primary school

The diploma thesis is concerned on the issues of introduction of the additional ethical education program to the primary schools. The diploma thesis is focused on the second period (4. 5. grade) of the primary school, which defines RVP ZV. Theoretical part of the diploma thesis explains the initial concept of the ethical education, mainly work of R. R. Olivar, who is followed by L. Lencz. Then, it is concerned on the possibilities of introduction of the ethical education to the School Educational Program and analysis of expected output created by the ethical education in the second period of the primary school. The crux of the diploma thesis is the practical part, where is compiled a part of the output, which are expected in the education program Ethical education for second period. The purpose of the diploma thesis was to show the teachers, who are starting to teach the ethical education, how to fulfil the lessons.

Briefly describes the concept of value in terms of various scientific disciplines, and describes the process of its formation, discusses the concept of value system. It deals with the influence of environment in shaping the value system of students and subject matter maps the current state on this issue. Practical part of points through a questionnaire survey on the current state of value orientations of children in connection with the experiment carried out using the lessons drama education. Ethical issues in preschool education

The intention of this thesis is to highlight the importance of structured Ethical Education in kindergarten and to discover, how stories can influence ethical attitude of children. The theoretical part describes moral development of preschool children. There is introduction of the most important psychological concepts, especially Piaget's and Kohlberg theories. The theoretical part also shows the place of Ethical Education in the educational system of the Czech Republic, its main principles and educational programme. The practical part describes and reflects the educational programme based on stories with ethical content. This Programme was realized in a Christian kindergarten class and can be inspirational for preschool education. Some of the stories will be used for creation a methodology of Ethical education for kindergartens.
Ethical issues in preschool education
SVITÁKOVÁ, Alena
The thesis deals with the concept of ethical education in Czech nursery and primary schools. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the explanation of the basic terms and on the characterization of the preschool and the junior school age from the psychological point of view as well as with respect to the moral development. In the following chapters, the thesis deals with the historical development of the moral education at schools from Jan Amos Komenský up to the present. The methodical part describes the goals and methods of ethical education as defined by Pavel Vacek in comparison with Prof. PhDr. Zdeněk Matějček, CSc. The methodical part focuses on the topics of ethical education according to R. Roche Olivar and on the applicability of ethical education by achievement of the key competencies of children based on the "General education program for preschool education". The purpose of the study is a questionnaire survey, in order to determine how important is ethical education for the respondents and what topics are according to the teachers the most beneficial for children and pupils. The results show clearly that the teachers nowadays find the ethical education important, but they usually do not work with it purposefully. In their opinion, the most important topics are those which guide the children to prosocial behaviour.
Environmental education as a part of ethics education

The work deals with environmental and ethical education, their development and position in the Czech curriculum documents. It focuses on the relationship of education to environmental care and ethical education, specifically on the ratio of factual data and ethical values in the concept of environmental education in the Czech elementary education. It characterizes ways of professional training of pedagogical workers in environmental education, education and awareness, possibilities of further education of environmental education coordinators and the interest in this topic from the side of Czech schools.

The second part focuses on the church elementary school Orbis-Pictus, on the application of ethical education and on the Project Open.
Art activities as a way to pro-social education of children in leisure activities.

The thesis deals with chidren s pro-social behaviour development when doing art aktivities in their leisure time. The theoretical part is focused on basic concepts, such as ethics and moral, moral education with ist methods and aims and also child moral thinking development. The greater part looks into prof. R. Roche Olivar s conception, on which the practical part of the thesis is based. Creativity and ist development is the topic of the next chapter, which defínes artistic creation and motivation games adequate to young school age children, as the project is intended for this age group. The practical part of the thesis introduces a leisure facility with the characteristic of Dům dětí a mládeže in Dačice, where the project is realised. Particular art activities include aims, used materials, methodos, selected motivation and my own reflection.
