In the practical part of the bachelor's thesis we carried out and analysed data from semi-structured interviews. The research sample included 9 informants, consisting of leading social workers and social workers of low-threshold facilities in the South Bohemian Region, who use social networks in their work with clients. The evaluated data were grouped by the method of creating clumps on the basis of similar phenomena, themes and patterns. The results showed that employees working with clients mostly use Facebook and Instagram and mainly for promotional, communication, information and prevention purposes. It was also found that social networks played a particularly important role during the Covid-19 epidemic. However, the most important thing for social workers is direct and personal work with clients and they perceive social networks as a complement to their work. The results of this bachelor thesis can help guide other low-threshold facilities for children and youth and it can also have a useful and educational application for parents of children and for the general public.
