Construction of The GPS device

The goal of this thesis is a complete design and realization of a device that is able to communicate with GPS module iTrax300 and display the coordinates received from the module. The thesis deals with the GPS, localization principles and the standard communication protocol for navigation systems - the NMEA 0183 protocol. Futhermore it is dealing with the particular steps in the realization of the engineered device (from the specification of requirements at the beginning to the testing of its functionality in the end). The GPS coordinates, the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), the date, the altitude and the speed on the ground can be displayed. There is also a possibility to put in any coordinates, the direction and the distance to the point are displayed afterwards. The device enables the track storage in the memory as well. The track is viewable while connecting the device and the PC through the USB interface.

The thesis aimed to describe the system of the Head up display. The first part deals with the basic division, functions and with use of it in the car industry. The second part contains the current models of cars which might be equipped with the Head-Up Display.
The Effect of Excessive Use of Modern Technologies on the Origin of Sleep Disorders in Children of Older School Age

This bachelor thesis deals with the excessive use of modern technologies for the possible origin of sleep disorders in children of older school age. The theoretical part characterises older school age, sleep, sleep disorders, the specifics of sleep in children and adolescents, modern technologies and their impact on human organism and summarises available research related to the impact of using modern technologies on the sleep quality in children. The practical part presents quantitative research examining the influence of excessive use of modern technologies on the possible origin of sleep disorders in children of older school age.

The bachelor thesis analyzes the process of settling claims related to the specific business machinery breakdown insurance and electronic equipment insurance. Part of the work is modeling the process of claims settlement on insured machines. There are also definitions of used terms. In the second part of the thesis is demonstrated one specific model case of claim settlement procedure on an insured stationary machine. The case is handled according to the insurance conditions of Kooperativa pojišťovna, a.s., Vienna Insurance Group, which is currently the largest insurance company on the Czech insurance market. In the thesis are elaborated the individual phases of the claims settlement process, especially with the emphasis on the problematic parts. There are also described possible solutions to improve the claims settlement processes.
Mass media and the development of pre-reading of preschool children

This thesis maps mass media, especially television broadcasting and electronic devices with connection to the Internet, in the lives of pre-school children, and investigates the relationship between mass media and development of initial reading skills. The theoretical part analyses existing literature relevant to pre-school child development elementary reading and mass media, while the empirical research makes an independent investigation into this phenomenon in society using questionnaires for pre-school children's parents, structured interviews with selected children, and structured interviews with open-ended questions with selected pre-school teachers. The aim of this work is to determine today's pre-school children's interests in books compared with television and electronic devices with connection to the Internet, to look at how parents strengthen their children's relationships with books, and to identify methods for controlling the programmes that children watch.
