Study of Detection Performance of Silicon Strip Sensors for ATLAS ITk Upgrade Project
Latoňová, Věra ; Mikeštíková, Marcela (advisor) ; Vorobel, Vít (referee)
The upgrade of the Large Hadron Collider into the High Luminosity Large Hadron Collider requires a complete replacement of the ATLAS Inner Detector by a new all-silicon Inner Tracker. For this reason a new micro-strip sensor type n+ -in-p was developed. These sensors are expected to have many advantages, such as higher radiation resistance, the ability to operate even if not fully de- pleted and faster response. The main purpose of this thesis is to study and evaluate the detection performance and radiation hardness of the n+ -in-p sen- sor type with the help of electrical characteristics performed on the delivered sensors. The obtained results are compared to the Market Survey Step-2 require- ments and in the case of the sensors designed for the ATLAS Inner Tracker also to the corresponding Technical Specification document. 1
Electrical properties analysis of epoxy resins with different fillers in temperature and frequency dependence
Horák, Luděk ; Novák, Vítězslav (referee) ; Kazelle, Jiří (advisor)
Presented master's thesis is focused on studying electroinsulating epoxy resin-based sealings. It describes the chemical composition, production, properties and measuring methods of basic electric quantities of these materials. The aim of the thesis is to compare several sets of samples of composite epoxy resins with different kinds of micro-ground siliceous sand as a filling. The temperature and frequency dependence of relative permittivity, dissipation factor and inner resistivity are measured for given samples.
Electrical properties analysis of epoxy resins with various fillers
Horák, Luděk ; Kazelle, Jiří (referee) ; Frk, Martin (advisor)
Presented bachelor thesis is focused on studying electroinsulating epoxy resin-based sealings. It describes the chemical composition, production, properties and measuring methods of basic electric quantities of these materials. This work also embodies a preparation of composite epoxy resin samples with different kinds of micro-ground siliceous sand as a filling. The samples given are measured on the temperature dependency of relative permitivity, dissipation factor and inner resistivity.
Electrical and thermal characteristics of lead-free solder joints
Jurásek, Matěj ; Adámek, Martin (referee) ; Schnederle, Petr (advisor)
This wok is focused on the issue of soldering. The theoretical part describes the basic requirements for materials and solders alloys, which enter into this process. Further also factors that have a major impact on the quality of joints and methods, that are used for final testing of electrical and optical properties. The aim of the practical part of this work will be monitoring changes in electrical properties depending on the base material, surface finish PCB contact surfaces, the type of solder alloy and residual oxygen concentration in the atmosphere. The resulting values are compared, and they will draw the final recommendations for the method of soldering used alloys
Study of electric properties of nanocomposit material
Ovsík, Jiří ; Rozsívalová, Zdenka (referee) ; Polsterová, Helena (advisor)
This work deals with the electrical properties of nanocomposite materials. Samples for the experiment are made of epoxy resin as matrix and titanium dioxide TiO2 as nanofillers in varying percentage performance. Measurements are temperature dependent components of the permittivity, dissipation factor and resistivity. Furthermore, the internal resistivity is observed with regard to the percentage performance of a sample of nanoparticles.
Electrical, Optical and Sensoric Properties of Organic Semiconductors
Pochekailov, Sergii ; Zmeškal, Oldřich (referee) ; Nešpůrek, Stanislav (advisor)
There is big interest in cheap, sensitive and selective gas sensors. In this work, substituted soluble phthalocyanines are proposed as a sensing materials for several gases. Optical, electrical and gas sensing properties of several phthalocyanines were studied and the mechanisms of their interaction with several analyte gases are described. It was found, that sulfo-substituted Pcs has good sensitivity to humidity. Sulfonamide-substituted phthalocyanines are promising for nitrogen dioxide and volatile organic compounds detection. tert-Butyl-substituted phthalocyanines are sensitive to NO2 under higher temperature and seems to be used for environmental monitoring. Commercial gas sensors for NO2, ethanol and humidity were successfully created.
Study of electric properties of nanocomposites
Libra, Miroslav ; Rozsívalová, Zdenka (referee) ; Polsterová, Helena (advisor)
The present master´s thesis deals with the electrical properties of nanocomposite materials. Samples for the experiment are made epoxi resin and oxides TiO2 and Al2O3 as nanofillers in different percent performace. The samples nanocomposites are measured temperature dependence of the resistivity inside, dissipation factor and relative permittivity. It discusses the effect of the filler on the resulting electrical properties of the polymer.
Study of electrical properties of nanocomposites
Ovsík, Jiří ; Rozsívalová, Zdenka (referee) ; Polsterová, Helena (advisor)
The present work deals with the electrical properties of nanocomposite materials. Samples for the experiment are made of epoxy resin as a matrix and oxides TiO2, Al2O3, WO3, SiO2 as nanofillers in 0.5 and 1 percent performance. The experimental samples are measured in temperature and frequency dependence of relative permittivity, dissipation factor, rezistivity and are broken down by the influence of filler on the electrical properties of the polymer. Attention is also paid to the mechanical properties of nanocomposites.
Design and Realization of Structures with Embeded Components
Němec, Tomáš ; Pulec, Jiří (referee) ; Szendiuch, Ivan (advisor)
The master thesis deals with multilayer structures and thick film technology. The main goal of this work is measure basic electric features of structures realized with thick film technology. The results will make possible more accurate design of these structures.
Synergic effects of multistress ageing of electroinsulating materials
Novák, Lukáš ; Frk, Martin (referee) ; Rozsívalová, Zdenka (advisor)
Submitted work deals with monitoring impact of thermal and electric ageing on the dielectric properties of insulating material NKN 0887. In the course of the experiment five sets of dielectric insulating materials were aged. The voltage range has been set from 1,5 kV till 2,2 kV and temperatures were 23 °C and 200 °C. The capacity and loss factor has been directly measured by RLC meter Agilent with attached electrode system. The electrode system operates on the principle of a plate capacitor. The values of relative permittivity and loss number has been calculated from values of capacity and loss factor. For easier confrontation has been frequency dependences of these values plotted in a chart. The Cole-Cole diagrams has been created and factors of Havriliak-Negami function has been calculated. Data has been compared with each other and the effect of ageing factors has been deduced.
