Modelling of Effect of an Earthquake on a Building with Differential Equations
Juříček, Dan ; Zatočilová, Jitka (referee) ; Štoudková Růžičková, Viera (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is concerning with the description and solution of system of differential equations which describe effects of an earthquake on buildings. The aim of this thesis is to build systems of second-order differential equations suitable to model the effects of an earthquake on multi-story buildings in horizontal movement. Further, the thesis deals with analyze of these systems and finding a solution of natural frequencies and period of these buldings.
