The role of the economic diplomacy is very important for the Czech Republic. Because of the small extent of the Czech Republic and strong international competition it is necessary to have a well prepared presentation strategy of the Czech products, Czech industry and the country in itself. The Czech exporters are mostly oriented towards the European countries, since the business negotiation and communication is easier and more comprehensible than with other non-European countries. Czech exporters, in order to export to Mexico, need to overcome the language barrier and get used to specialities in Mexican negotiating. Few authorities of the Czech economic diplomacy are assisting while undergoing these procedures. CzechTrade, Czech Embassy in Mexico and above all its business-economic section help to arrange contacts and give advice concerning the administrative steps right in Mexico. Czech exporters have more possibilities how to show the interest in cooperation with Mexico, e. g. participating the business mission, fairs or exhibitions. Entry of the Czech Republic into the European Union had a positive effect on the rate of bilateral trade, which proves the trade balance. Although some Czech firms are prospering in Mexico, the market potential of Mexico is not utilized entirely.
