A comparison between muscle coordination during dynamic tests by surface electromyography
Gašpárek, Milan ; Valouchová, Petra (advisor) ; Slabý, Kryštof (referee)
Objectives: We evaluate the movement patterns of left-sided radicular syndrome patients on the basis of intervertebral disc herniation L4/L5 or L5/S1 and test group to verify expected verge asymmetry between selected muscles and changes in their timing. Participants: 10 patients with left-sided radicular syndrome caused by intervertebral disc herniation were objects of the reserarch L4/L5 or L5/S1 (7 men, 3 women, average age 37,4 ± 10,67 years old). 6 healthy individuals without vertebrogenic problems were part of the reserarch (2 men, 4 women, average age 27,4 ± 2,6 years old) Methods: During specific tests focused on stabilizing function of musculosceletal system, selected muscles activity was recorded for both groups by SEMG Data analysis: The variation significance between experimental and test group was evaluated by two-tailed t-test. Significance level of p=0.05 was selected for statistical hypothesis testing. Results: We have proved statistically significant asymmetry between right and left side for patients with radicular syndrom. Significant variations were found for muscles timing between group with herniation and test group. Conclusion: Selected muscles activity and involvement sequence changes (timing) were found for patients with intervertebral disc herniation during postural tests,...
New test approach and evaluation of dynamic and thermal parameters of elastomers
Pešek, Luděk ; Vaněk, František ; Procházka, Pavel ; Bula, Vítězslav ; Cibulka, Jan ; Vaněk, Petr
The new test approaches for evaluation of thermo-visco-elastic parameters of elastomers are designed, realized and discussed herein. The main attention is devoted to a kinematic excited rubber beam sample under transient resonant sweep excitation. Mechanical material characteristics, i.e. Young modulus and loss angle, are identified from analytical formulas of FRF function based on measured dynamic loading and response signals. Heat material constants were estimated indirectly by numerical thermo-mechanical FE model and matching numerical and experimental results. The „sweep” regime tests serve for estimation of thermal and mechanical dependences. Long-term tests with cyclic resonant loading enable analysis of material degradation, such as hardening and permanent deformation, due to fatigue. For dynamic tests with pressure pulsation and sudden loading and unloading the high-power electromagnetic pulsater has been developed for damping rubber segments of tram wheels.
Contribution to experimental research of thermo-mechanical behavior of tram wheel rubber segment
Pešek, Luděk ; Vaněk, František ; Veselý, Jan ; Cibulka, Jan
This contribution deals with press-tensile dynamic tests of tram wheel rubber segments. The evaluation of dynamic quantities was performed using hysteresis loops of force response versus loading displacement. The obtained dynamic behavior of the segments will be used for their numerical modeling in vibro-acoustic finite element tram wheel model. For research of thermo-mechanical interactions of elastomers in dynamic loadings, the inner temperatures were measured by use of single ended bead-type thermistor.
