Measurement of dynamic characteristic of check valves
Novák, Jan ; Himr, Daniel (referee) ; Habán, Vladimír (advisor)
Master thesis presents overview of existing types of check valves, their features, uses and issue called "cracking". Experimental part of this thesis focuses on the lift and swing check valves. Results of the measurement are evaluated from non-stationary flow point of view by developing and analyzing static and dynamic characteristics. This thesis takes into account losses and dynamic effects as main viewpoints. Two methods for measuring non-stationary velocities are used. Direct method called Gibson and indirect method laser doppler anemometry. Goal of the master thesis is to increase understanding of the check valves and their applicability.
Electrical features of surface discharge for organic material decomposition
Budík, Martin ; Zdražil, Vladimír (referee) ; Bartlová, Milada (advisor)
The aim of this semestral work is to describe importance of electric surface discharges for decomposition of organic substances. This will serve to practical measurement of VA characteristic of surface discharge ignition, flow effect and type of portative gas for VA characteristic and moment of ignition of surface discharge. Then measurement of dynamic characteristic of surface discharge in assorted portative gases with diverse kind of flowage and setting of energetic ratios in discharge by means of dynamic characteristics. The main part of this work is dedicated to conditions of discharge ignition, its characteristics in different conditions and another types of discharges.

Statická a dynamická charakteristika stejnosměrného aktuátoru pro extrémní proudy
Dvořák, P. ; Ulrych, B. ; Doležel, Ivo
The paper is focused on investigation of the static and dynamic characteristics of a DC actuator that is intended for extremely high currents and forces. Its field coil is wound by a massive copper conductor that is suitably cooled and its construction is equipped with a spring that quickly returns the movable part after switching off the field current. The methodology is illustrated on an example whose results are discussed
