The Financial System Supervision in the European Union

The Financial System Supervision in the European Union Abstract In the first chapter of my dissertation theses, I defined the objectives of the dissertation theses, I chose suitable methods of scientific work, which I applied in the entire process of creating the dissertation theses, I described them in more detail, and I also described in detail the entire methodology of the dissertation theses. In the second chapter of the dissertation theses, I paid attention to the definition of the financial system in the European Union and also to the legal acts of supervision over the financial system in the European Union. I also described the basic supervision of the financial system in the European Union, the banking union as part of the financial supervision system, as well as the European System of Central Banks (ESCB) and summarized other aspects of the supervision of the financial system in the European Union. At the end of this chapter, I state that by summarizing the institutional arrangement of European supervision, I have fulfilled one of the set sub-goals. International Monetary Fund: Trends in the Scope of Activity in 1989-2014

The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate possible ideological changes inside the IMF in the time period from 1989 to 2014. This goal is achieved by examining annual reports published by the IMF, with attention on the most important tools of the IMF. Issues discussed through the IMF's surveillance and conditionality are the main indicator of possible reforms and changes. Based on the existent literature and example of the reform of the World Bank four hypotheses are formulated. Those hypotheses are dedicated to monitoring changes in perceived importance of welfare state, small government, good governance and fiscal policy. Firstly, current literature is presented with definition of the main concepts used in this thesis. Secondly, important tools of the IMF are described. Thirdly, collected data is described and this thesis concludes with data evaluation. With application of the methods of descriptive statistics and content analysis this thesis concludes with statement, that important shift from emphasis on weak state to strong state occurred and good governance became important theme of IMF's interest. However importance of the theme fiscal policy persisted.

Controlled Freedom of Choice: Interaction in New Media

This diploma thesis concerns topic of control within interactivity in the new media. It deals with concept of interactivity from the perspective of the new media and semiotics. Later on it presents insight on different mechanisms and levels of control, which are present within the interactivity. The thesis is focused only on those mechanisms that are aimed at a user. These concern for example dataveillance, data-based discrimination, disciplination, tailoring, monitoring or persuasive games. This line is extended and connected with the contributions of Roland Barthes, Michel Foucault and Vilém Flusser, who dealt with topics such as power, discipline and apparatuses. The aim of this thesis is to find out, what is the position of a user in relation to the mechanisms of control and what are her/his possibilities of action against these mechanisms (if any).
