Comparison of the Global and Local Food Supply Chains

The objective of this bachelor thesis is a comparison of three different food supply chains which distribute fruit and vegetables with focusing on a customer service, logistics costs and an influence of transfers on the environment. This work is focused on the system of logistics of individual supply chains, there is the comparison of relevant indicators and finally there are determined critical factors, suggestions and recommendations.

The aim of bachelor thesis "Inventory management of Fruko {--} Schulz Ltd. company" was to analyze the status and movement of supplies and suggest measures to reduce capital tied up in inventory and increase supply serivces. ABC method was applied and allowed to identify the critical factors in inventory management, and especially poor distribution of products in stock and inadequate equipment storage. Three options were proposed solution, which includes an optimal distribution of products from the ABC analysis, change of equipment storage, or the application of optimization software.
