Práce a osobní život digitálních nomádů
MORAVA, Jan
The bachelor thesis focuses on the phenomenon of digital nomadism. In the Czech environment, this is a relatively new trend of combining teleworking and traveling, together with a change in the content of the working day and the lifestyle as such. The aim of the work is, with the help of semi-structured interviews with digital nomads, to clarify the work regime, leisure time, travel and overall their experience with digital nomadism. The theoretical part covers the relationship between the transformation of society and nomadism, and then characterizes the transformational changes in terms of mobility, the transformation of the media landscape and the sphere of work. The practical part evaluates qualitative research with specific nomads who explain aspects of this lifestyle. The outputs of the work can be useful to better illustrate this flexible form of employment from the early 21st century.
Digital Nomadism: The Instinct of Wandering in Contemporary Society
Volfová, Kristýna ; Halbich, Marek (advisor) ; Heřmanová, Marie (referee)
Recent estimates suggest that there are currently around 4.8 million people who consider themselves to be digital nomads. They are widely depicted in the media, most often as young professionals who successfully combine work, leisure and travel into one holistic lifestyle. Despite this significant presence in today's popular culture, from a research point of view, digital nomadism is almost unexplored phenomenon. Therefore, the aim of this work is the analysis and interpretation of the phenomenon of digital nomadism, not only through my own ethnographic research and reflection, but also in terms of current theoretical concepts in anthropology of tourism and mobility. The research itself focuses mainly on selected aspects often associated with digital nomadism in the mainstream media, and how informants reflect them. I deal with aspects such as the blurred boundaries between work and leisure, mobility slowdown, the origin of co-working spaces, the concept of freedom and, last but not least, the social changes that have led to the global expansion of this phenomenon. Keywords: digital nomadism, anthropology of tourism, mobility, travelling, digital technologies, work

Digital nomad – management, managing people on distance
Ďopanová, Nela ; Háša, Stanislav (advisor) ; Havíř, Vojtěch (referee)
This bachelor thesis is about teleworking, specifically the digital nomads with main focus on the details of a manager's position. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part mainly came from available specialized literatures on this topic. It familiarizes with today's approaches and it sets up the basic overview about this issue. The practical part of the work is based on qualitative research, which was structured by interviews with ten different nomads. During the interviews they shared their approaches and methods for leading their employees on distance. The aim of this thesis is to familiarize with this more and more growing trend of teleworking, formulate today's methods, enrich them with my own research, and afterwards express the most important principles and tips for managing people on distance.
