Frkal, Tomáš ; MACÁK, Jiří (advisor) ; WEISER, Antonín (referee)
The thesis focuses on the historical development of night shots, which are mainly limited by the technological possibilities. Besides the impact of the digital revolution, the light sensitive cameras and new lightening techniques, it is also a matter of trends. The success of night scenes are determined by the difficult circumstances in the production and the viewers acceptance. Apart from the technological aspects this paper focuses on the different styles of night shots, that have been changing through the decades. The paper starts by describing the physiology of the human eye, continues with the realisation of night shots and finishes with assumptions for the future.

Burgos Barbosa da Silva, Guilherme ; FUXJÄGER, Klaus (advisor) ; PECÁK, Josef (referee)
I want to understand why B&W filmmaking is appearing as an artistic form in contemporary times, and how these films are being made technically. To explore the technology currently being used, I will create a test and examine results of the same scene filmed with RED color, RED bw, ARRI color, ARRI bw and Double X. I plan to analyze raw images for comparign first characteristics, then apply color grading to get final b&w results.

Žaloudková, Klára ; OUKROPEC, Petr (advisor) ; Horák, Petr (referee)
The goal of this paper is to inform about the changes in film industry that have come with digitalization. Simplified- change distribution after DCP entrance. The development of digitalization took gradually ten years. There was a great discussion about digitalization, because it involved social and media area and telecast at all. After then, digitalization was not a choice, it became a necessity. Digitalization burst after 2009 in its full strength and this was because of increasing popularity of 3D movies, which speeded up the process. I write about the anticipated trends in the future.
Cameras for digital cinematography, specifications and quality measures
Polách, Martin ; JÍCHA, Marek (advisor) ; KOŠŤÁL, Emil (referee)
This thesis is about essential digital cameras and technologies, which are used by directors of photography for shooting feature films, commercials and television content. I focused mainly on cameras, that are available to the public in your 2012, which are for example Arri Alexa, RED EPIC, Sony F65, Phantom FLEX, Phantom 65 and few more semi-professional cameras. In my thesis I also look back on the beginnings and history of digital cameras from 1990?s, when first cameras emerged that were at least able to compete with film negative, and on the development of second generation of digital cameras as Panavision Genesis, Arri D20-D21 and RED ONE. Part of my work is also devoted to technical properties and specifications, which are required from current high-end cameras.
