Supporting the tourism in the Ústí region after 2000

The diploma thesis is aimed to tourism and its development in case studies by the Ústí region and the town of Ústí nad Labem. In the theoretical frame, definitions utilized in case studies are defined. Devoted to the Ústí region, the case study analyzes conceptual documents, dealing with tourism and its development as well as its priorities and measures. The study then describes a new regional project, called "Gate into Bohemia" (and new destination agencies together with it). The chapter is finished with future plans of the Ústí region. Similarly, development documents are analyzed in Ústí nad Labem, emphasizing tourism and projects, realized by the municipality in terms of tourism or revitalizing the town (as well as possible future plans again). Another chapter deals with the structure of tourism concepts; its basis is represented by the author's own proposal, compared with selected concepts of the region and town.
Geocaching in relation to sustainable development

This thesis is focused on relation between geocaching and sustainable development. It deals with this relation on basis of approach of geocachers to cache-making and on basis of state of caches in different areas. Approach of geocachers to cache-making tests by semi-structured interviews analyzed by Grounded theory and by internet data analysis. State of caches in different areas tests map data analysis. Outcome shows rather positive relation of geocaching and sustainable development. Strong points of the game are in positive influence on sustaining and shift of memory of places, increasing place atractivity and partly environmetal education. Study can be beneficial for instance for protected natural areas administration, public administration or administration of destination management of areas. Scientific benefit of this thesis lies in surveying this theme and creating basis for next research. Models Supporting Decision Making of a Tourism Destination Management

This diploma thesis focuses on the application of system thinking and its methods to the issues of decision making within destination management and its organizations. The main aim of the thesis was to create a model to support decision making of destination management organization and to plan sustainable and responsible tourism development in the destination. A partial aim was to create a simplified model in which a simulation of the given system was performed. This aim has been applied to the destination of Cesky Krumlov. The contribution of the work is to find optimal decisions, policies and individual processes in order to assess the subsequent impacts and manage the development of tourism destination towards sustainability.
Opportunities and bariers in cooperation of tourism subjects in selected destination

Coollaboration of Stakeholders in a Tourism Destination

The aim of the thesis Collaboration of Stakeholders in a Tourism Destination is to evaluate the level and intensity of cooperation in tourism in the South Bohemian Region from the perspective of key stakeholders in the destination, including the management and development relationship of tourism in the destination. In the first part of the research, the information concerning the destination management and marketing, the stakeholders and their cooperation was obtained with the help of secondary data. For the collection of secondary data, printed literature and websites were mainly used in connection with the selected tourism destination - the South Bohemian Region. Based on the findings from the literature and other secondary sources, the collection of primary data was planned in the form of a questionnaire survey. It has become clear that the destination marketing organizations, which best meet the attributes of power, legitimacy and urgency, are the key stakeholder. According to the research, it was found out that the cooperation between the public and private sectors is significantly inadequate. There are several major obstacles that prevent effective cooperation among the particular stakeholders. To improve the cooperation, it is necessary to streamline the communication between the organizations and other stakeholders and to plan a project within the tourism industry, which will help with the cooperation among as many stakeholders as possible.
Function of Destination Management Organizations in Czechia: The Case Study of the Touristic Area Orlicke Hory and Podorlicko

This diploma thesis deals with the function of regional destination management organizations in Czechia. Destination management organizations are founded to implement destination management at various spatial levels (national, regional, local). In Czechia, the issue of destination management is a relatively new area of research. The aim of this work is to clarify the role of destination companies as one of the regional development actors with an emphasis on the development of tourism. The theoretical base is network theory and the concept of destination governance along with other base of the cooperation of actors in tourism development. For purpose to get a general insight into the situation of destination management in Czechia, the analysis of the regional destination companies is a part of the work. In addition, thesis includes the case study of the tourist area of Orlicke hory and Podorlicko, in which the destination company of the same name operates. The case study includes analysis of strategic documents and annual reports of selected actors, semi- structured interviews with representatives of selected organizations from the region and a questionnaire survey among the members of the destination management organization. Models Supporting Decision Making of a Tourism Destination Management

The topic of the diploma thesis is the models for decision support of the management of tourism destination. This is an important topic in tourism all over the world, as tourism destination management is a complex, multidisciplinary and often inflated question. The complexity of the structure and the number of stakeholders is also the reason for being important in today's modern times. Because of the complexity of the whole topic, it is often difficult to grasp the theme as a whole and to consistently explain all the existing variables. At the same time, a number of inaccuracies and errors are generated in connection with the management of the tourist destination. The work uncovers the basic structure of relationships in the destination of tourism and attempts to outline the functioning of the tourism destination management as a whole. The benefit of the thesis is to update the model created by Ing. Petrem Štumpfem Ph.D. in his dissertation work. Another benefit of this work is the generation of scenarios of the likely and anticipated development of the tourist destination of Southern Bohemia.
Management of tourism development in the South Bohemian Region

This diploma thesis is focused on the current state of management and organization of tourism in the South Bohemian region and on finding the current offer of tourism products in the context of the development of destination management and marketing. The theoretical part defines the applied theory, related to the solved topic. Primary data was obtained from managed interviews with product managers of South Bohemian tourist areas and from an interview with the director of the South Bohemian Tourism Authority. Secondary data was drawn from websites of individual tourist areas, from www.jiznicechy.cz and from many prospectuses. In the practical part, the tourism management organization applied in the Czech Republic was compared with the organization in selected foreign destinations. As well as an analysis of individual tourist areas was carried out. On the basis of the conducted analyzes and primary research, measures and recommendations were proposed to support the development of destination management and increase the competitiveness of the South Bohemian Region.
Business of tourism services and possibilities of cooperation

This thesis deals with a company named Angusfarm, which is situated in Soběsuky. The organization focuses mostly on providing services including accommodation, catering and introduces their main interest. It clarifies their cooperation and evolution, history and basic concepts of sociometry. Moreover, a major part of the thesis provides detailed information about stakeholders and the way they interact with the firm including analysis of the weaknesses and barriers that occur during cooperation with stakeholders. The research is based on Social Network Analysis. The Social network is a system of actors individual interlinks through their relations. The goal of this thesis is to analyze the current situation of cooperation with suppliers and to reveal which stakeholdes are the most important and how large is the connection between stakeholders and Angusfarm.
