Agroterorism
KOLÍNOVÁ, Zuzana
This thesis deals with the issue of agroterorism. The aim is to assess whether this mode of attack is a threat to the Czech Republic. First, the term terrorism, its types, methods, history and statistical overview of the attacks are defined. Furthermore, the thesis is focused on agroterorism, its definition and ways of implementation. Contamination of food, water, livestock infections can be the target of terrorists to cause panic and paralyze society. Contamination can be done using a variety of commonly used chemicals such as pesticides, herbicides, industrial chemicals, petroleum products, zoonoses, and common infectious diseases. The results analyze and elaborate in detail the specific situation of agroterorism in the Czech Republic and the possible crisis scenarios describe how the Czech Republic could be threatened. The discussion contains a summary of all the knowledge, there is a reflection on the research question, its answer and the most probable possibility and method of attack. Agro-terrorist attacks have the disadvantage that their identification, extent and origin can be difficult to ascertain, or this finding may take a long time. Often, this is a low-budget mode of attack. During the detection of the causes and the agents of the disease, other people are infected and the destruction of the devastating consequences is more demanding and even more protracted. In this way, attacks can cripple or kill a large number of people over a very short period of time. Detecting the identity of attackers can be lengthy, as attacks can be carried out in places other than the real threat. The biggest problem in the field of agro-terrorist attacks for the Czech Republic is the impact of the agro-terrorist attacks in another country, with even unintentional overlapping with neighboring countries. Such an impact may be the import of contaminated food.

The first part describes basic terminology related to the topic. Death and dying are viewed from the historical and ethical points of view. The second part describes the individual historical periods from antiquity to the 1930s in terms of social and cultural changes. The emphasis is placed on the opinions of philosophers, scholars and doctors about good death and euthanasia. The general view on death and euthanasia is even better illustrated by the medical care of a given period, the development of medical science and medicine. The thesis presents a theoretical base from which information for practical research of the phenomenon of death can be drawn. The examined phenomenon could be equally important and challenging for the present.
Character of pilot in the writings by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
ŠIMONOVÁ, Kristýna
This thesis focuses on the research of the pilot´s character in chosen writings by the French author. While we can divide his writings into both historical and cultural context there is also an analysis of the pilot´s characterization together with the main themes contained in the writings. Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, who was an aviator and script writer but primarily an author, has come under the scrutiny of many biographers and movie adaptations so that Saint-Exupérys' legacy remains alive. The Little Prince is probably the writers' most famous work and although his others writings are comparable with The Little Prince, these have been overshadowed by the work. A lot of attention has been paid to Saint-Exupéry´s conception of morality, fear and death which are topics united into the pilot´s character and so it is interesting to mark out the main typical features. This thesis analyses and compares individual writing and identifies the common features which creates a simplified model of the pilot. If possible, the model will be compared with the author and we will mark his function in the tale together with his influence on readers.
