EPC project for the wastewater management of a dairy plant

The dairy industry is one of the sectors producing high amounts of wastewater with significant levels of pollution. Typically, this water is discharged into the sewage system after preliminary treatment. However, it is now possible to recycle a large portion of this wastewater, and, as a result, reduce the operating costs. This work focuses on designing an appropriate water recycling technology to reduce operating costs and subsequently preparing the basic documents for the implementation of an EPC project for the selected design. Based on conducted research, reverse osmosis was chosen as a suitable process for wastewater treatment. Operational and investment costs were calculated for membrane technologies using reverse osmosis, based on which the profitability of the proposed design was determined. Furthermore, a process flow diagram and a piping & instrumentation diagram were created, risk management was conducted, and a project timeline was developed. Future work could focus on a specific industrial operation, allowing for the acquisition of real data and more precise economic evaluation.

The diploma thesis describes technological and constructional design of technology. The diploma thesis also contains basic design of measurement and regulation.

The theme of this thesis is "Strategic Analysis of an Enterprise". The aim of my work is to carry out strategic analysis of Zedníček family farm with emphasis on external analysis using selected analytical methods. The external environment of the company and its opportunities and threats are evaluated using SWOT analysis. The internal environment is assessed, including the characterization of the strengths and weaknesses. The current strategic position of the company is formulated from the obtained information. The result of this work is proposal for the procedures and recommendations that could be implemented by Zedníček family farm to improve its market position.

This bachelor thesis deals with activities workers of controlling in Madeta company during introduction of a new product on the market (making preliminary calculations and counting profitability of products). The company focuses on production and sale of dairy products. The theoretical part consists of the main topics of controlling. Farther it deals with different kinds of calculations. The practical part focuses on introduction of the company and controlling department. The main part of the thesis includes counting preliminary calculation for sour cream of three fatness. In this part is also determining amount of profit through the number of sale products and selling prices. This situation recalculates through the different price of purchase price of milk.
