Závlaha dřevin v okrasných školkách
Mikulcová, Petra
The first part of this work deals with the water potential, their take and transport of water in the plant, which is carried out with xylem. There is analysis of the driving forces of transport, including cohesion and adhesion of water. This theses also focus on irrigation, irrigation system, possibility of fertilization trough irrigation, water resources and the possible water treatment options. The second part of this work focuses on individual types of irrigation used in ornamental nurseries. I deal with micro-irrigation and irrigation using sprinklers. I analyze their advantages and disadvantages. And I compare several types of irrigation among themselves. I focus on irrigation bridges in the end of this theses.
Mapping of woody species in urban areas and connection to woody plants
BŘEZINOVÁ, Adéla
The aim of this bachelor thesis is mapping of woody species in a specific territory. The literary research is focused on sparse vegetation and its functions. Vegetation stages, trees in the city and the terms protection and felling of trees are described here. It is also focused on characteristics of the specific territory. It includes climatic, geomorphological, soil, geological, hydrological and agricultural conditions. These characteristics are described here due to the suitability of the trees and the reliability of habitat conditions. The territory of the Libkova Voda village is processed in the practical part. It is divided into nine parts. All woody species have a Latin name, family of plant, occurrence and origin. The whole territory is compared with a group of geobicene types.
Uplatnění nepůvodních dřevin na narušených stanovištích: vliv stanovištních a krajinných faktorů
PROŠKOVÁ, Miloslava
The effect of local and landscape factors on establishment of alien woody species in various post-industrial sites in the Czech Republic was evaluated. The first part of the thesis was focused on the establishment and survival of late successional and alien woody seedling in differently restored sites (spontaneous succession vs forestry reclamation), each with various successional stages (young, middle, late), This part continued in the topic of Bc. Thesis to detect changes in a period up to three years since the establishment of the experiment. The second part, dealt with the invasive potential of selected alien woody species Quercus rubra, was studied in three abandoned post-mining sites represented by sand pits and compared with the species establishment in undisturbed afforested sites dominated by Pinus sylvestris. These two parts were conducted in Třeboňsko Protected Landscape Area. The last part evaluated the effect of local site and landscape factors at a broad national scale. For this purpose, the phytosociological relevés from Database of Successional Seres (DaSS) were used.
Segmentation of images with leaves of woody species
Valchová, Ivana ; Suk, Tomáš (advisor) ; Blažek, Jan (referee)
The thesis focuses on segmentation of images with leaves of woody species. The main aim was to investigate existing image segmentation methods, choose suitable method for given data and implement it. Inputs are scanned leaves and photographs of various quality. The thesis summarizes the general methods of image segmentation and describes algorithm that gives us the best results. Based on the histogram, the algorithm decides whether the input is of sufficient quality and can be segmented by Otsu algorithm or is not and should be segmented using GrowCut algorithm. Next, the image is improved by morphological closing and holes filling. Finally, only the largest object is left. Results are illustrated using generated output images. The thesis focuses on segmentation of images with leaves of woody species. The aim was to investigate existing image segmentation methods, choose suitable method for given data and implement it. The chosen method should segment existing datasets, photographs from cameras as well as photographs from lower-quality mobile phones. Inputs are scanned leaves and photographs of various quality. The thesis summarizes the general methods of image segmentation and describes own algorithm that gives us the best results. Based on the histogram, the algorithm decides whether the input is of sufficient quality and can be segmented by Otsu algorithm or is not and should be segmented using GrowCut algorithm. Samovolné šíření introdukovaných dřevin v zámeckém parku v Lednici
Hutko, Tomáš
This thesis deals with the introduction of woody plants from the past to the present. In addition to basic terminology, it focuses on the biological nature of generative and vegetative distribution of plants, especially woody plants. It addresses the spontaneous spread of non-native plant taxa, especially woody plants in the Czech and Slovak Republics. It provides a broader view of the benefits and negatives, both from the point of view of landscape architecture and from other disciplines, within the scope of deliberately using or suppressing this property. It solves the general regime and specifics within the possibility of their suitable cultivation, both in parks and in the open country. The practical part of the thesis is focused on the creation of the methodology of field investigation for the registration of individual taxa selection in the park. With the help of the developed method of field investigation it focuses on the taxa of introduced woody plants in the Lednice park. In the results, it provides a set of individualized inventory items, along with some of them, and then interpreting the results using graphs and tables. Part of the results is also a graphically processed map from the field survey by locating the evaluated items in the park.
Vyhodnocení dendrologického potenciálu a návrh pěstebních opatření v modelovém objektu
Janotková, Nikola
In this thesis entitled "Evaluation of dendrological potential and proposal of cultivation measures", there are described methodological procedures for tree species evaluation, cultivation measures proposals, and possible interpretation of found facts. An inventory of species was made at the turn of the year 2015 and 2016. The field research was carried out in the park of the Opava town.In total, 691 trees, 13 bushes, and 38 bushes groups were evaluated. The acquired data were used for the evaluation of the state of the object and for the calculation of proposed cultivation measures. In the end of the thesis, there are described suggestions for improvement of the current state of the object and recommendations for adding missing items to the catalogue of guide prices of URS.
Využití mykorhizy při vegetativním množení dřevin bylinnými řízky
Ján, Jakub
The topic of the diploma thesis was the study of the influence of commercial mycorrhizal preparation on the rooting of softwood cuttings of two selected species of ornamental shrubs (Forsythia × intermedia 'Maluch' and Weigela florida 'Piccolo'). The main objective was to find out whether the mycorrhizal preparation can make the process of vegetative propagation more efficient and favourably influence the formation of roots. The used preparation contained arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi of the genus Glomus, two different amounts of the preparation were used. The experiment was carried out in the summer months of the year 2016. The experiment was founded in a plastic greenhouse on the ground of the Faculty of Horticulture in Lednice in Moravia (the Czech Republic), two main terms of propagation passed (in June and August) and one supplementary term passed (in August). The total number of adventitious roots, the number of branched roots, the length of shoots and the mortality of cuttings were evaluated. Mycorrhizal colonization of roots was evaluated in the laboratory under the microscope. The results of the experiment did not show that the used mycorrhizal preparation can positively affect the rooting of softwood cuttings, the application of the mycorrhizal inoculum did not improve the efficiency of vegetative propagation and did not provide convincing advantages. Mycorrhizal fungi did not stimulate the growth of cuttings, and in fact they did not influence the number of adventitious roots neither in Forsythia × intermedia 'Maluch', nor in Weigela florida 'Piccolo'. The only significant positive was that the Weigela florida 'Piccolo' had a higher number of branched roots after inoculation. The observation of roots under the microscope showed that the roots of both species were colonized by arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi, but the extent of colonization did not reach high levels. Mycorrhizal inoculation of propagation substrate cannot be recommended as an effective method that would improve rooting. However, it should be added that the experiment only passed for one year and the results were based only on one term of propagation. Thus the influence of mycorrhizal fungi on the rooting of plant cuttings should be the subject of further research.
