Urban design Výstaviště Brno

Urban study thesis deals with the more efficient utilization of the Brno Exhibition Centre in the longer term. The natural boundaries of the area in the alluvial plain formed on the northeast Hlinky street and Žlutý kopec, from the south-west street Bauer then head along the river Svratka. Thanks to its location near the city center and direct connection to the Prague highway is an important area ideal for design features of national importance. The aim is to open area all year round to the public and offer a diverse year-round and daily functional use. The effort is in place to attract as many people who will want to return. The original idea is to complete the entire structure of the new buildings in the western part of the terms of the original urban concept axes going from Pavilion A. The territory is divided into four functional zones - exhibitions, sport and recreation , work, education and culture. Additional functions of housing and facilities for the needs of the exhibition as well as other companies. In terms of transport, emphasis is put on pedestrians, cyclists and calmed character of motorized traffic. The area intersects several hiking trails connecting the Hlinky street and Bauerova street.

This work aims to create transport–urbanism study which will lead to the improvement of attractivity of the whole region, whether for permanent or migrant populations, converts the traffic so that the least interfere with visitors of the city center while retaining its good accessibility, supports the development of pedestrian and cycling routes in context of the surrounding area. Traffic-urban solution will work with the master plan of Ostrava city and also take into account results of performed architectural and urban design competitions of a city in the area of interest. Emphasis will be placed on an economically resonable solution with connection to the future development of the site, construction phasing and quick implementation.

Cycling in the Prešov region

Master's thesis deals with the issue of supporting the development of cycling and cycling infrastructure in the Prešov Region, which is located in the east of the Slovak Republic. The work is divided into three chapters. The first is intended to explain the basic concepts of cycling as well as its division along with the legislation on the subject. The second chapter is devoted to the description of Prešov Self-Governing Region and especially cycling tracks in the area that is either in the planning stage or already under construction. Very important is also international cooperation with Poland in conecting cycling routes in the border. The last part of the thesis deals with the author's specific proposals related to the promotion of cycling tourism in the East Slovakia as well as the improvement of the cycling infrastructure in the region.
Cycling in Prešov and its surroundings

Cycling in Bratislava and its surroundings

This thesis is a comprehensive look at cycling in Slovakia and the possibility of its further development - legislation, funding, policies and strategies. The main objective of the paper is to analyze the state of cycling and cyclo touring in Bratislava and its surroundings. The analysis includes evaluation of the current state of the network of cycle paths and future cycle routes projects in the city, cycling and other forms of transport as well as suggestions for the future.
Possibilities of Implementation of Cyclist Transportation in Vysočina Region

This Master's thesis deals with an analysis of cycling in Vysočina region based on that a project focused on a promotion of cycling in the area is to be designed. The main objective is to find appropriate means of transport that should serve cyclists to approach their favourite tourist destinations. Together with newly created lines corresponding to the tourist destinations a realizable project should be designed the purpose of which is to promote tourism in Vysočina region.
Cycle tourism of České Budějovice in comparison to the chosen foreign region

This bachelor thesis is comparing the conditions for bicycle tourism in the regions of České Budějovice and Bodam Lake and is evaluating its importance to the development of the tourist trade of these two regions. On the basis of analysis, the strong and the weak points of both regions are determined and the possibilities of the devolopment into the future are suggested. The work has two parts. The first one deals with the system of cycle paths as the primary determinant of bicycle tourism in each region. The second part concentrates on the service area created especially for bicycle tourism purposes. The main goal of this work is to propose solutions which would lead to the development of the regional tourism potential and help the creation of an attractive cyclotourism destination.
