Data selection and optimisation of cutting conditions for progressive production technologies
Baklík, Lukáš ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis discusses a change of an existing surface grinding technology for a more effective technology of face milling for the finishing operation of the jaw (for a hydraulic machine vise) in a tempered state with hardness of 53+4 HRC. The jaw is made of tool steel according to the Czech standard CSN41 9312. Two new versions are proposed for the new technology. Progressive cutting materials are listed for milling. A suitable tool is selected. Total production costs and machine times for cutting conditions of the chosen tool are predicted. In the experimental part, the cutting conditions are verified in practice.
Cutting ceramics
Kasalová, Aneta ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Humár, Anton (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with cutting ceramics. The first part generally describes the materias intended for production of cutting tools and their charasteristics. Second part of this thesis is focused on the cutting ceramics, it´s history, distribution, production, structure and properties. In the last part the assortment of the companies CeramTec, Kennametal and Sandvik Coromant is described.
Superhard cutting materials and theirs effective use
Grausgruber, Jiří ; Prokop, Jaroslav (referee) ; Humár, Anton (advisor)
n the first part of this diploma thesis there are described basic findings about superhard cutting materials (sorts, notation, structure, physical-mechanical properties, usage, production) and evaluates this tool of material from the aspect of cutting ability. The second part focused on complex data processing about assortment of superhard cutting materials of significant tools materials producers and comparison of work conditions (kind of machined ma-terials, cutting conditions), which are recommend for effective turning applica-tions by producers.
Cutting ceramics and its effective use
Heča, Jan ; Sámelová, Vendula (referee) ; Humár, Anton (advisor)
Thesis dealing with cutting ceramics and its efficient use. Introduction describes the general characteristics of the cutting of ceramics, its history and development and production of various kinds. This section describes the mechanical and physical properties with potential application in machining. The se-cond part is an overview of cutting-frame in the range of selected world leaders. Ano-ther section focuses on general assessment of the power of cutting tools and other ma-terials comparison. The fourth part, is comparing the working conditions of producers and tools intended for cutting.
High-speed Machining of Bearings from Material 100Cr6
Tropp, Pavel ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
This Master's thesis deals with the issue of high-speed turning of the 100Cr6 material. The aim is to identify and experimentally validate an innovative production process for a particular component. The thesis includes theoretical basis of high-speed machining, analysis of the current state of the manufacturing process, innovation design and experimental verification. At the end of the thesis, parameters of the machined surfaces of specimens are evaluated.
Data selection and optimisation of cutting conditions for progressive production technologies of drilling with a step drill
Barák, Vít ; Fiala, Zdeněk (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
The thesis contains theoretical analysis of drilling by twist drill focused on the step drill. The review includes description of the drill geometry, calculation of the basic parameters of drilling, including forces and process optimization. Following is manufacturing process and analysis of the monolithic step drill designed for the required hole parameters. The optimal cutting conditions are necessary to find for the correct function of the tool. The load values of the tool are accurately assessed using a piezoelectric dynamometer, thereby obtaining the overall progress of individual loads. The roughness of the workpiece is evaluated by the optical measuring device.
The effect of cutting conditions on surface integrity of austenitic steel
Husár, Ján ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Varhaník, Matúš (advisor)
The aim of this work was theoretically to analyze the issue of machinability of austenitic steels and their use. The document also discusses factors that affect the cutting process itself, such as the cutting tool, machine tool, cutting environment and cutting conditions. In the next part of the bachelor´s thesis, an experimental test and its realization at which individual steel samples were turned is proposed. The last part of the thesis summarizes the result of the experiment and evaluates selected properties of the surface and subsurface layers the processed samples.
Technology assembling of a part "cage" in a company CCI
Tkáčová, Alena ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
This thesis is focused on techology of manufacturing a "cage" component at CCI Brno company. It solves drilling holes to the outside diameter of it. In the first part the company CCI is introduced, and in the second part is focused on component and material analysis. Next step is analyzing present manufacturing procedures and proposing its change. At the end of this thesis is techno-economic comparison of the present and proposed technological change.
The Analysis of Carbide Cutting Inserts.
Pavelka, Rudolf ; Humár, Anton (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
This study states basic technological aspects of metal machining with cutting inserts, with special stress on coated carbide cutting inserts. Among others, it states wear-out theory incl. wear-out accompaniments, problems of chip-forming and other factors of metal machining. At the end of the study, it contents a description of the latest cutting materials and construction elements of cutting inserts from reputable producers and, for some of them, also the course and the results of practical tests and comparison.
