Departure from nucleate boiling in nuclear reactors
Bednář, Michal ; Števanka, Kamil (referee) ; Foral, Štěpán (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with problem of boiling crisis in nuclear reactors and how this problem influences working od nuclear reactor. This thesis is focused on power water reactors, with focus on VVER 1000 reactor type, which fuel assembly is described in this thesis in more detail. In this thesis there are described terms related to boiling crisis and two-phase flow regimes. In the last part, the thesis is dedicated to the correlations for the critical condition and individual correlations are compared.
Development of housing prices in small municipalities near large cities during the COVID-19 pandemic
Pěnčíková, Kateřina ; Brandejs, David (referee) ; Klika, Pavel (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the development of housing prices in small villages near large cities during the COVID-19 pandemic. The introduction defines the basic concepts used and describes the methodology for determining statistical calculations on the issue. The following chapter describes the database that was compiled in order to meet the content of the thesis and is subsequently evaluated. The data entered in the database are generated from the Valuo program and the stated amounts are the prices at which the advertised flats were sold for the period January 2016 to January 2021. The work examines the development of realized housing prices in three specific cities (Slavkov u Brna, Šlapanice and Vyškov), which are located near the city of Brno. Subsequently, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the growth or decline of their price is evaluated. The evaluation and comparison of the results of the diploma thesis is given in the conclusion.

Experimental investigation of shear strength of soils from the Dobkovičky landslide area and development of correlations between soil strength and their physical properties
Roháč, Jakub ; Mašín, David (advisor) ; Blahůt, Jan (referee) ; Hrubešová, Eva (referee)
Critical and residual states are key soil conditions relevant to slope stability. Evaluating the available shear strength in relation to these conditions is crucial for reliable stability analyses. The best way to determine the strength parameters is through properly selected laboratory tests of soil mechanics. However, in specific cases, these parameters can be estimated based on other material properties of soils. The work clarifies the applicability of various correlation equations from the literature and proposes new relationships, created from laboratory- determined results of strength and index parameters of soils from the Bohemian Central Mountains. It shows how different equations or different material properties of soils can predict the required value of strength. The work also describes how the residual strength of soils and its estimation can be affected. This is mainly caused by the clay fraction proportion and by the shear rate used in its laboratory determination. The results are applied to a specific geotechnical problem - to estimate the critical state and the residual friction angle of soils from the selected study area of the D8 motorway, which is well known thanks to the stability problems. Last but not least, various errors and misunderstandings are discussed, which are often...

Habitatové preference skorce vodního (\kur{Cinclus cinclus}) na tocích okresu Tachov.
LIŠKA, Martin
In the first part of the thesis, the number of breeding pairs of the White-throated Dipper on the watercourses of Tachov district in western Bohemia was monitored and their distribution was examined. In the second part, characteristics (chemical, physical, geographical, quantity and quality of prey) of occupied territories and reference plots were examined and the preferences of the Dipper were examined. In the third part, correlations between body characteristics of birds and quantity of prey in the territory were examined.
Vztah mezi exteriérem a mléčnou užitkovostí dojených plemen skotu
KOLLMANN, Milan
The relationship between linear type traits and productional, longevity traits were analysed for 645 cows first calved between 2000-2016. The aim of study was to evaluate realionships of individual 20 type traits and 4 general conformation characteristics. For analysed herd was evaluated impact of individual type traits to first lactation milk yield in kg, lifetime milk yield in kg and functional longevity in days. Results proved important relations between folowing linear type traits and first lactation milk yield in kg: rump lenght, rump width, body depth, muscularity, pastern, fore udder lenght, rear udder attachment, central ligament, udder depth and front teat placement. Statisticly important relationships were found between all general conformation characteristics and first lactation milk yield. Proved impact between individual linear type traits and lifetime milk yield were found for rump angle, hock and front teat placement. Relationships between general conformation characteristics and lifetime milk yield were not statisticly proved. For analysed herd were also found important relations between rump angle and hock to functional longevity. Important relationships between general conformation characteristics and functional longevity were not found. In overall 192 cows were culled in analysed herd in 2016. The most frequent reason of culling a cow out of breed was caused by fertility disorders which participated in overall culling reasons in 34,9 %.
The use of correlations in the foreign exchange market
GIERTL, Jakub
The main goal of this bachelor thesis was to test the use of correlations in the foreign exchange market. The first part of the thesis is theoretical. Describes principles of currency markets, basics of technical and fundamental analysis and basics of using correlations. The second part of the thesis summarized practical part. Describes strategy and technical indicators used for trading with and without using correlations. At the end of the thesis are summarized the results of the tests with the evaluation.
