Nollová, Michaela ; Pospíšilová, Tereza (advisor) ; Frič, Pavol (referee)
The thesis is about volunteering in connection with reference groups of volunteers. It describes and analyses the volunteering of eight volunteers involved in the selected association. The first part of the thesis is theoretical, it defines basic terms, theories and concepts important for the research. The second, empirical part of the thesis, presents the methodology and deals with the conducted qualitative research through in-depth interviews with formal volunteers. The thesis aims to describe and understand how volunteers create their volunteer roles and to which reference groups they relate. The form of volunteer roles in this organization is influenced especially by the regularity and intensity of volunteer's activities. During the analysis, two main forms of the volunteer role were profiled from the researched data. Volunteers from one group consider their activity as help and they relate to the organization's clients. Volunteers from the second group relate to other volunteers and the activity is mainly fun for them.

Preparation of Children for Leaving the Children's Home
BICEROVÁ, Markéta
This bachelor thesis called Preparing Children for Leaving the Children's Home deals with the preparation of children growing up in children's homes for their independent leaving of the institution and their preparation for life in general, on the part of the educators. In addition, this bachelor thesis is concerned with the life stories of children who have already left the children's home. The main goal of this work is to discover how children are prepared for their independent life and whether, from the children's point of view, this preparation on the part of the children's home has been sufficient. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part describes the institutional education and its legislative frame, the children's home, the rights and duties of the children placed there and the whole process of leaving the children's home. Finally, some projects supporting the children who leave the children's home are listed. The practical part of the thesis deals with researching the preparation of children for leaving the children's home, both from the educators' and the children's point of view. The research group consisted of nine educators working in unnamed children's homes in South Bohemia and four adults who grew up in a children's home. The research methods used were the method of qualitative research, the interview method and the technique of semi-structured interview. For evaluating the data the ATLAS.ti software was used, open coding was performed followed by data categorization. On the basis of this research, both the individual research questions and the goal of the work were answered. As emerged from the research, the individuals leaving the children's home just after reaching their full age or at a very young age have problems entering their independent life, mainly in the area of finance, housing, employment, integration into society and creating social relationships. In spite of the intensive preparation taking place in children's homes, it is difficult for the leaving individuals to succeed in the society at such a young age without any help of a close person, who could be helpful in solving problematic situations but also in solving everyday issues. The findings of this bachelor thesis can be used both by institutional and protective education workers and by the students of health and social studies and pedagogy. It could also be a useful aid for OSPOD workers and other specialists or the non-professional public who are interested in these issues.

The thesis consists of two units. The theoretical part describes institutional care, children's homes, professional orientation and perspective orientation. The practical part is a qualitative research survey. Based on questionnaires and interviews, I try to answer basic research questions: Are children from children's homes interested in high school? How do children choose high school? What kind of tools do social workers of the children's home use to motivate children?

JINDROVÁ, Olga
The main topic of this Bachelor's thesis is the high-risk behaviour of children and youth within the institutional education. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and practical parts. All information given is based on vocational sources. In the practical part important questions connected with the research are established, resulting in a description of specific cases of such behaviour in the children's home in Horní Planá, as well as in an analysis of preventive measures taken in this institution and the reflection of behaviour and its prevention of the children's home. Furthermore, an attention is given to the methodology - to the characteristics of the specific children's home, establishing of the research group, methods of data collecting, ethical limits of the research, the way of data processing, and the final evaluation of the results. All will be based on the main hypotheses of the thesis.
The Approach of Carers to Children in Children's Homes
BEZROUK, Antonín
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to determine the degree of background and emotional careprovided to children in a children's home. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the role of the educator and the requirements for the necessity of empathy and active listening. Subsequently, the practical part on the basis of semi-structured interviews describes the real state and degree of communication. The core is therefore an insight into the daily work of the educator. From the empirical part, the fact arises that despite the increasing administrative burden and other activities, the level of helpfulness, empathy and active listening is inviolable. The time devoted to children is not at the expense of other activities and the care is limited only by the time possibilities within the day.

ZELENKOVÁ, Vendula
The bachelor's thesis deals with the Cooperation of Children's Homes in the South Bohemia region with Authority for Social and Legal Protection of Children. The aim of bachelor's thesis is to find out how the Cooperation of Social Workers in Children's Homes with Authority for Social and Legal Protection of Children takes place. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part of the work, I deal with the family, Authority for Social and Legal Protection of Children, substitute family care, institutional care and finally the Cooperation of Children's Homes with Authority for Social and Legal Protection of Children. The practical part of the work is devoted to the research of the Cooperation of selected Children's Homes in the South Bohemia Region with Authority for Social and Legal Protection of Children. Also, it deals with the main areas of Cooperation and the individual difficulties of this Cooperation. The research part of the thesis was implemented by using a qualitative form of research, an interview method, and a semi-structured interview. The interview was based on theoretical knowledge. The open coding in the subtext of the interview was used to evaluate the data. The sample consisted of six Children's Homes in the South Bohemia Region, who showed interest in participating in this thesis. Based on the research, the individual research questions and the aim of the thesis were answered. The results showed that the Cooperation of Children's Homes with Authority for Social and Legal Protection of Children is very individual, it always depends on the personality of a particular social worker. Although this Cooperation is not specified anywhere, it is still very important and should certainly not be considered as a mere formal approach.
How Children in Foster Homes Perceive Their Life Situation
SEKALOVÁ, Eva
In my bachelor's thesis, I deal with the issue of children placed in care institutions. The aim of the work is to find out the current view of children from children's homes, whether they feel their social disadvantage with respect to peers in the school environment, on social networks and during social events. The work is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes the functioning of the children's home, as a facility for institutional education, the area of social disadvantage and its impact on children at risk, and then discusses the approaches of social work related to the issue. In the practical part, a quantitative research strategy using a method of questioning is applied. The collection of research data took place in August to September 2019 using an anonymous questionnaire, to which 112 children, aged 7-18, from 11 children's homes from the South Bohemian, South Moravian and Moravian-Silesian regions responded. After processing and statistical evaluation of the data by the Chi-square method, applying a test of independence in the contingency table, my hypothesis was not confirmed, as only two out of fifteen questions showed a negative relationship between children's stay in the children's home and the behaviour of the environment. As a result, children from children's homes, in most cases, do not subjectively perceive their social disadvantage. This bachelor's thesis can provide an up to date information material for children's home management and it could also be used as a basis for further research on the subjective perception of children being placed in institutional care.
Hostitelská péče u dětí s nařízenou ústavní výchovou
DEJOVÁ, Natálie
The aim of my diploma thesis was to map the experience of employees of children's homes and further of children's homes with a school and host care. The partial goals were to find out the benefits and risks of the implementation of host care for children with compulsory institutional education. The theoretical part explained in detail the principle of functioning of social and legal protection of children in host care, the system of institutional and substitute host care, differences in the life of a child in a children's home and children's home with a school and the principle of host care. In the practical part, the results of my research were clearly processed, and the research question was answered, which was focused on the view of the workers of children's homes and children's homes with a school and host care. Partial research questions found out what positives and what negatives host care can have for children with compulsory institutional education. A qualitative research strategy was chosen for the research of this thesis and questioning with the technique of semi-structured interview was chosen as the method. The data analysis was performed by the clustering method. Subsequently, two other methods were used; the method of simple enumeration and the method of contrasts and comparisons. The research files were selected by deliberate selection. The research group consisted of 5 principals, 3 social workers and 5 educators of children's homes and children's homes with a school meeting the selection criteria. My research shows that the experience of host care is for all workers positive, even though everyone is aware of certain risks that host care entails. However, they agreed that the positives of host care prevailed. The main benefit of host care, as can be deduced from my research, is the possibility for the child to see and experience the functioning of a normal family within host care. The main risk of host care may include disproportionate attachment of the child to the host provider or vice versa and the associated disappointment of the child or host providers. The results of my research will serve as acknowledgment to all employees of institutional facilities who participated in my research, and the brochure created, will also serve to increase the awareness of people who are interested in this issue.
