Flight performance of the STOL light sport airplane
Koudelka, Jaroslav ; Sklenář, Filip (referee) ; Juračka, Jaroslav (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate effect of individual parts of the selected aircraft on its aerodynamic characteristics and to summarize possible directions of aircraft modifications with taking into account increasing its cruising speed while maintaining STOL performances. The first part of this thesis is focused on the description of selected aircraft construction and its legislative categorization. Then follows the theoretical part describing the basic terms of horizontal flight mechanics, the creation of drag and drag types. The practical part contains the evaluation of the drag influence for individual aircraft parts, their possible directions of improving and the final summary how the modified parts influence flight performances. In conclusion they are results comparing the original aircraft configuration with the modified one with taking cruising speed into account. For the modified version there is an evaluation of its impact on the STOL performances.
Preparation of flight plan for cross-country flight from LKTB to ULLI by L-200A airplane
Hornych, Petr ; Imriš, Pavel (referee) ; Raudenský, Miroslav (advisor)
The objective of this study is the submission of entire IFR flight plans of chartered routes, including risk analysis and necessary equipment for flights in central and east Europe. The paper describes rules for IFR flights, which must be followed when flying into these areas and also focuses on the meteorological situation, legislation and general geographical characteristics of the mentioned states. The flight to Russia is divided into several legs. All the available information is according to the valid AIP.
