The using protection paste during carburization of chain segments on their properties after welding
Kovář, Tomáš ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Slováček, Marek (advisor)
This thesis is focused on assessing whether it is possible to remove Condursal paste from the manufacturing process in order to reduce costs and save time. For the study, the area of the crossbar – C-shape weld was selected, where the C-shape is cemented and then welded to the crossbar. From this area, samples were produced by pewag s.r.o., which were subjected to subsequent tests and measurements. There was an evaluation of the macrostructure and microstructure as well as a tensile test, toughness, hardness inside and on the surface of the sample and measurement of residual austenite. After evaluating the tests and measurements, it was necessary to carry out another test measuring the carbon quantity in the surface layer due to an inappropriate hardness result. The hardness test and measurement of the carbon quantity confirmed the poorly prepared samples by the company, because the hardness in the surface layer did not reach the required value set by the company and the carbon quantity was also less than required. Subsequently, it was evaluated that Condursal paste can be excluded only in the case of supplied samples. In other circumstances, it cannot be said whether it is possible to exclude Condursal paste or not.
Analysis of heat treatment effect on dimension shift
Kunkela, Ondřej ; Jaroš, Aleš (referee) ; Kolář, Ladislav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on chemical-heat steel processing, mainly to the size change caused by the process itself. To look into the problem closely some samples from various materials and of various size have been made. The samples were measured before and after the ionic nitridation. Likewise the samples, the real peaces were measured, some of them were ionic nitridated and some were cemented. The real pieces were made from the same material but they differed in size and shape. Subsequently, all the figures were processed and assessed.
Evaluation of Power Efficiency of Radioactive Waste Management Technologies Used in the Czech Republic
Penzinger, Pavel ; Varmuža, Jan (referee) ; Katovský, Karel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the evaluation of power efficiency of technologies for the radioactive waste management used in the Czech Republic. Thesis is divided into two main parts – theoretical part and a practical part. Theoretical part of the thesis deals with a brief description of the organization connected with radioactive waste operating in the Czech Republic and storage of low and intermediate level waste in the Czech Republic. This is followed by various kinds of radioactive waste division according to Czech legislation and regulations of the International Atomic Energy Agency. There is also a description of the most used technologies and methods o of radioactive waste management technology used in the Czech Republic and world. Practical part contains specific evaluation of energy efficiency of each technology for the radioactive waste management. Each evaluation contains the energy efficiency of production use materials and transport. Evaluates are technologies used consistently and for sufficient quantities. Energy efficiency is describe from the place of origin of radioactive waste, which is the Nuclear power plant Dukovany, Nuclear power plant Temelín and ÚJV Řež, a.s. The end of description is the repository site of radioactive waste Dukovany for radioactive waste from nuclear power plants or disposal site Richard for institutional radioactive waste.
Chemical heat treatment of steel
Pišek, David ; Molliková, Eva (referee) ; Němec, Karel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with methods of chemical and heat treatment of steel. This thesis incorporates basic findings and ways of the performance of the chemical and heat treatment with detailed specialization in cementation and nitration of steels. This study is also focused on property of surface layers and their use. The primary aim of this thesis is to evolve an overview of the most frequent methods of chemical and heat treatment of steel and to evaluate advantages and disadvantages of individual methods for a practical use in industry.
Low Temperature and Cryogenic Treatment of Casehardened Parts
Bílková, Lenka ; Juliš, Martin (referee) ; Kouřil, Miloslav (advisor)
This work deals with the assessment of the influence of low-temperature treatment on the structure and properties of casehardened surface layer of parts. The objective was to assess whether low-temperature treatment is sufficient, insufficient, or unnecessary for the given purpose. Gears which form a part of Zetor tractors gear boxes were used as samples. Thirteen pairs of frozen and non-frozen samples were used; they were taken from production batches throughout 2007, their hardness was assessed and furthermore, the experiment itself, freezing casehardened and hardened samples to different temperatures reaching as low as -196°C, was carried out. A moderate increase in hardness was registered with the majority of the frozen samples, which proved the effectiveness of the low-temperature treatment.
New trends of disposal of radioactive waste
Vohralík, Lukáš ; Trtílek, Radek (referee) ; Matal, Oldřich (advisor)
The main point of my diploma thesis is accession the questions of disposal of radioactice waste and related proceeding with it. The thesis is engaged in estimation of the current disposal site in the Czech republic and analysis of the particular technological ways of the procces with radioactice waste. The thesis is engaged in real possibilities of maximum minimization radioactive waste in the Czech republic in the context of raising quantity radioactive waste. It is taken up new trends in disposal of radioactice waste and technology of the modification of radioactice waste before storing.
