Cellulite as a social phenomenon: Analysis of Czech print

Diploma thesis "Cellulite as a social phenomenon: Analysis of Czech Press" deals with the topic of origination and development of a conception of cellulite as an illness and defect to the beauty in Czech press and also deals with constructing of this phenomenon in present time. The aim of the study was to analyze and show how the conception of cellulite, thanks to which a normal physiological fact changed into a defect to the beauty and to an illness, was developed and medialized, by using a brief quantitative analysis of Czech press as a whole, a brief quantitative analysis of the research sample and consequently a qualitative analysis of this research sample. Hereafter the aim of the diploma thesis was also seeking of an answer to a question to what extent cellulite is an construct created by advertising industry and manufacturers of cosmetic devices and products, which is abusing and supporting normative imaginings of ideal female body and beauty.

Revitalization program Cellulite - dermopanniculosis deformans and its verification in practice.

Diploma thesis deals with developing and testing of revitalization program which has positive effect on Cellulite-dermopanniculosis deformans. The research presents and evaluates results of revitalization program which took 6 months. Analysis of technical terms, that are closely related to cellulite, is presented in the theoretical part. There are presented views of Czech and foreign experts who deal with issues of cellulit. At the end of theoretical part we focused on available revitalizing methods that are aiming to elliminate cellulit. Experimental investigation was carried out on 60 women who were divided into experimental and control groups. Results are statisticaly processed in the form of graphs and tables and acompanied with discussion.
Improvement of manual lymph draining like method physical therapy in regeneration and therapeutic profession

This thesis deals with usage of the technique of manual lymph drainage and verification of its influence in therapeutic, regeneration and cosmetic practise. This technique is very popular among non-professional and professional public. As for the regeneration practise it is used especially for cellulite treatment, whereas in medical practise it is used for healing numerous kinds of swelings, lymphedems in particular. In the introduction to the theoretical part my thesis aims for history of this technique in the Czech republic and abroad, emphasizes the importance of professional knowledge of the lymphatic system anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology, indication and contraindication and it introduces this manual heptic technique in detail. The practical part deals with verification of effectiveness of the manual lymph drainage technique in practise and it compares input and output data of the monitored set. The results of the practical examination confirm the effectiveness of this method in the therapeutic practise.
