Categorization of Cloud Computing Services
Morávek, Jan ; Karkošková, Soňa (advisor) ; Feuerlicht, Jiří (referee)
The thesis is focused on the introduction to issue of cloud computing and cloud computing services. The main objective is to categorization of services in accordance to several parameters, which tends as crucial factors of choosing cloud computing services. The conclusion is achieved by analyzing various cloud computing services and subsequent synthesis of the most important parameters. The results of this thesis are the definitions of relevant categories common for the distributed models of service. According to these a potential consumer may choose from provided cloud computing services. Individual categories are divided by their technological or organizational characteristics. The categories are further defined from the infrastructure-as-a-service model view. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. While the theoretical part describes basic terminology, characteristics and division of models, the practical part is defined by three sections. The first section contains the definitions of the most important categories with given parameters of distribution models. In the second section, categories from the infrastructure-as-a-service view are defined. In the last section, an analysis of globally accessible services focused on the infrastructure-as-a-service is provided.
An experimental study of the feature theory: Is an eye e key stimul?
SÝKOROVÁ, Jana
The way, how birds discriminate and categorize their predators exactly, hasn't been known yet. More theoretic conceptions try to explain the mechanism of the categorization, one of them is the feature theory. The theory is based on that object is a compound of neutral and key features. We decided to examine this theory under labor conditions. We tested yellow expressive eyes of a predator, sparrowhawk, as a key stimul for recognition of predator by tits (Parus major). We used wooded dummies of the predator - sparrowhawk (Accipiter nisus) and a nonpredator - pigeon (Columba livia f. domesticus) and made chimeras between those two type that differed in eyes. Our results showed, that eyes really could be a key feature and it may works in a combination with other key stimuli.
Accommodation services in the region of Třeboň
ČUTKOVÁ ADAMCOVÁ, Martina
This thesis describes accommodation in the region of Třeboň and its cooperation with another subjects providing services in tourism. The theoretical part deals with the description of this region and accommodation services. It describes the division of accommodation and also the management of destination. The analytical part investigates the cooperation of subjects providing accommodation services with another subjects providing services for tourists and its influens on their effective business running. The results of this research confirm the impact of this cooperation. The aim of this thesis is to focus on problematical parts of the cooperation in tourism in this region and propose new possibilities of tourism and service development.
Categorization of SaaS applications
Moravec, Martin ; Burkoň, Lukáš (advisor) ; Žamberský, Martin (referee)
The main contribution of this work is a summary of best practices in designing and creating categorization of SaaS services, aggregating elements of current solutions and author's own proposals for their enrichment. A side benefit is creation of a specific categorization of services and illustrative catalog based on that categorization. The work consists of six chapters divided into two main parts. Preliminary first two chapters, forming the theoretical part, are devoted to defining and describing the problem with the introduction of the notion of SaaS and its strengths and weaknesses. The third chapter describes the current approaches to the topic. The following is a description and analysis of available solutions to the problem. Next chapter is devoted to best practices and approaches in the design and creation of each new categorization. In the last two chapters, forming the practical part, author offers an example of catalog driven by particular categorization based on the knowledge gained in previous chapters and provides evidence of the usefulness and applicability of categorization by creating and filling this catalog with services that fits in. The conclusion is devoted to a summary of the basic knowledge acquired in the work and view of the future in the field of the SaaS categorization.
Ethical Aspects of the Antidiscrimination Law
TOMÁŠKOVÁ, Pavla
The thesis is focused on the anti-discrimination law and its social reason. It is itself divided into seven parts and devoted to definition of the essential political and philosophical terms as the equality, fairness, freedom, also human rights, the discrimination mechanism, the relation between the morality and the law. The chapters describe component terms which were evolving in a different historical context. The attention turns to the European and Czech anti-discrimination judicature and to the analysis of the discrimination as a term as well. The mechanism of discrimination comes after to more comprehensive view why people make differents and for lawmaker´s right attitude to discrimination. The final part of the thesis is a chapter about the fairness to answer questions about how much the law norm can interfere in individual freedom and about the relation between the law and the morality.
Key features and prototypes in visual predator recognition - laboratory experiments with Great Tit (\kur{Parus major})
TUMOVÁ, Petra
Categorization of predators is fundamental for birds? life. However, the mechanism is not well explained yet. Two basic theories of categorization were tested in the laboratory conditions, where we have the possibility to focus on the behavior of each individuum. In the experiments we focused on the relevance of the key features and colour patterns. The responses of the Great Tit to variously modified dummies of Sparrowhawk were observed. The results confirm that the bird does not recognize the predator only on the basis of the key features and the colour patterns have a essential influence on the categorization. Categorization of the predator is a complex process and it cannot be explained only on the basis of one psychological theory. A combination of the key features and a prototype of a particular category learned throughout its life is probably used.
Pigeon with sparrowhawk head: friend or enemy?
NÁCAROVÁ, Jana
The mechanism of predator recognition hasn´t been understood well yet. There are two main theoretic attitudes to this problem. Feature theory claims that animals use only some key features of the stimuli for categorization. The other opinion is that animals have a general concept how the predator should look like and local features aren't so important. We examined these theories under labor conditions. We tested the reaction of great tit (Parus major) on wooded dummies of the sparrowhawk (Accipiter nisus), pigeon (Columba livia f. domesticus) and chimeras between them that differed in the type of head. Our results show, that great tits probably use combination of both approaches to recognize the predator.
How do birds categorize real and abstract objects?
NÁCAR, David
This thesis reviews the experiments about the visual categorization in birds, especially pigeons, based on the operant conditioning and employed both real and abstract objects. These experiments are focused on the simple object recognition, complex concept formation and the picture-object recognition. This thesis tries to find the reasons of the inconsistences among conclusions of these experiments
Influence of starvation on willingness to risk in Great tit (\kur{Parus major}) and Blue tit (\kur{Parus caeruleus})
TUMOVÁ, Petra
In this work, I investigated influence of starvation on willingness to risk for food in presence of a predator. Experiments proceeded in winter when birds are not influenced by fear about clutch or brood and therefore the food becomes their priority. I tested birds in laboratory conditions where is possible to monitor and regulate food availability. Tits were tested for stuffed model of dangerous hunting specialist sparrow hawk (Accipiter nisus), nest predator jay (Garrulus glandarius) and harmless similar-sized bird pigeon(Columbia livia f. domestica). A control experiment without a model was conducted too. Each bird was tested for given model replete and hungry and each bird was tested only for one model. We were interested in differences in reactions to individual models and the influence of repletion rate; if the behaviour was different between replete and hungry birds, or in the {\clqq}accustom`` phase and in experiment itself. We also investigated, if there are differences in behaviour between Great Tits and Blue Tits.
