Tourism and current Demographic Trends
ŘÍHOVÁ, Iveta
The thesis focuses on tourism and current demographic trends. The main aim is to analyse the current situation of the ageing population and to explain why tourism is important for the country's economy. The approach of the Czech Republic and other selected European countries, namely Finland, Italy and Scotland, is compared. Using a questionnaire survey, unstructured interviews and informations from official sources of each country, case studies were developed and finally the approach of each country to the issue under study was evaluated.
A Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient After Total Knee Replacement
Schwarzová, Eva ; Dvořáčková, Dominika (advisor) ; Vrbický, David (referee)
Author: Eva Schwarzová Title: A Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient After Total Knee Replacement Goals: The aim of the theoretical part is to look into the issue of arthrosis of the knee joint based on scientific literature. The practical part presents a case study of a physiotherapy treatment after a total knee replacement. Method: This thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part describes the scientific findings on the subject of the knee joint from an anatomical and kinesiological perspective. Furthermore, this part deals with the gonarthrosis, the total knee replacement, and the physiotherapy treatment. The practical part shows the physiotherapy treatment of a female patient after a total knee replacement. The case study took place during an internship at the Military University Hospital (ÚVN). It contains a kinesiological analysis, a short - and a long-term physiotherapy schedule, a description of the therapy sessions as well as a final evaluation of the effects of the therapy. Results: During the hospitalization, patient underwent eight therapy sessions which led to an increased mobility of the left knee joint, a reduction of the pain as well as a decreasing of the swelling. Furthermore, due to the therapy the strength of certain muscles was...
Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient with the Diagnosis of Gangrene of Lower Limbs
Juráková, Eva ; Lorencová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Hlavičková, Růžena (referee)
Title: Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient with the Diagnosis of Gangrene of Lower Limbs. Aim: Summary of theoretical knowledge and processing of case study of a patient with the diagnosis of gangrene of lower limbs. Method: The thesis consists of two parts - theoretic and specific. The theoretic part of the thesis contains topics related to amputations, prothesis, diagnostic methods and physioterapeutical treatments used when dealing with this diagnosis. The specific part of the thesis contains a case study of a physiotherapeutical treatment of a patient after unilateral above-knee amputation with the diagnosis of gangrene of lower limbs including complex kinesiologic examination, plan of rehabilitation, description of the progress of therapy and evaluation of the effects of therapy. The case study was compiled during an internship at the inpatiet rehabilitation ward of the Central Military Hospital in Prague. Key words: amputation, prothesis, phantom pain, case-study, physiotherapy
Hierarchical Component Models - "A True Story"
Ježek, Pavel ; Plášil, František (advisor) ; Brada, Přemysl (referee) ; Crnkovic, Ivica (referee)
First, this thesis presents an analysis of diversity of component-based software engineering (CBSE) concepts and approaches, and provides a summary of selected runtime-aware component models structured according to newly proposed criteria. As a result of the analysis, hierarchical component models are identified as a CBSE domain still not sufficiently explored in the current research with respect to their lacking penetration into regular industrial use. The major part of the thesis consequently almost exclusively focuses on problems related to application of hierarchical component models to real-life applications development. The motivations for hierarchical structuring of application architectures are presented in the thesis and key advantages of hierarchical component models are thoroughly discussed and shown on examples from commercial software development. To verify the claims, two major case-studies are presented in the thesis and the Fractal component model is successfully applied to model and implement them focusing on formal verifiability of correctness of resulting component-based applications. The thesis proposes novel approaches to model dynamic architectures changing at runtime, to deal with complex error traces and a novel specification language for component environments, all resulting from...

The “Monkey Business” with Heterogeneous Photocatalysts
Klusoň, Petr ; Morozová, Magdalena ; Krystyník, Pavel ; Hejda, S. ; Krýsa, J.
In this study main misconceptions in the treatment of the heterogeneous photocatalytic data are summarized first. Then an illustrative case-study is reported. Finally the concept of dynamic active site is introduced as appropriate way to quantify correctly the essential parameter of the photocatalytic activity in the heterogeneous photocatalytic reaction.
