Financial analysis of Měšťský pivovar Strakonice, a.s.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate financial situation of Měšťanský pivovar Strakonice, a.s. The work is divided into 2 parts. The first part deals with methodical aspect of financial analysis, it contains the theoretical importance of financial analysis, the sources of information for financial analysis, particular indicators and complex bankruptcy and credibility models. In the second part these methods are applied on the analyzed company and I try to interpret the resulting values.
The Economic analysis of Czech Airlines Company

The main aim of this thesis is to review the economic situation of Czech Airlines Company in period from 2002 till 2008. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The first theoretical part includes the explanation of basic financial analysis methods, such as horizontal and vertical analysis of financial statements, analysis of ratio indicators, working capital analysis etc. Practical part applies these methods to the company. Creditworthy and bankruptcy models analyse the complex assessment of the financial situation. The end of the thesis summarizes financial analysis results and includes recommendation for the management.
Assessment of the explanatory power of bonity and bankruptcy models in terms of the Czech foundry industry

This bachelor thesis is focused on assessing the explanatory power of selected bonity and bankruptcy models in terms Czech foundry industry. Bonity model is expresing comlex level of bonity and financial standing in enterprises. Bankruptcy models can predict a potential decline in business and potencial bancrupcy of eterprises.Assesment of explanatory value of these models is based on a critical comparison of the results of applied bonity and bankruptcy models in two foundry companies, one of which is prosperous, and the second of the selected companies has serious financial problems and has achieved bankruptcy.

In the present thesis named Application of solvency and bankruptcy models on the bankrupt company Sklo Bohemia is given a broad overview of financial shortcoming prediction models developed both in the Czech Republic and abroad. Thesis aims to apply these models and evaluate their success in forecasting imminent bankruptcy.
Predictions of financial distress of a company through financial analysis methods

The subject of the processed work on theme analysis of the company in distress is a business Olšanské papírny a.s. which has entered bankruptcy proceeding on 2.19. 2009. The aim of the work was to determine whether the methods of financial analysis can predict the fall of business in the future. The work consists of a theoretical part, which is a description of the methods used in the practical part and includes definitions of business in distress and division of system of ratio indicators according to their properties as well. The second, practical part, briefly describes the company and analyzes the various methods of financial analysis applied to a particular company. It also includes a table of individual bankrupt models with probabilities that predict bankruptcy of a company and graphical inter-company comparison with sector through the Spider analysis.
Corporate financial distress prediction by means of methods of financial analysis

The thesis deals with the corporate financial distress prediction by means of methods of financial analysis. The goal of the thesis is to apply chosen methods of financial analysis to the sample of two Czech textile-processing companies and to evaluate their predictive abilities. Both companies have a lot in common, but each of them is in a completely different financial situation. This fact facilitates the evaluation of the predictive value of particular methods and offers a background for their comparison. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to the theoretical basis of the methods. The next part describes their application in practice and adds a critical judgement with regard to the predictive value. The summary of all the acquired results is to be found at the end of the thesis.
Prediction of financial shortcoming by financial analysis

The bachelor thesis implements methots of financial analysis into two companies. One is succesfull, ČEDOK, and the second unsuccesfull, Tomi Tour. Tomi Tour finished in 2008, because it was not able to pay the liabilities. There were used common financial ratios and bankruptcy prediction models.

This bachelor thesis is aimed at comparison and evaluation of financial health of the company Novako Jihlava s.r.o., which has been undergoing insolvency proceeding since April 2009 and the company Stavona, spol. s.r.o., which seems to be prosperous. The aim of the work was to determine whether the methods of financial analysis(particularly solvency and bankruptcy models) could predict the fall of the company Novako Jihlava s.r.o. At the same time were compared the prediction of particular models.

Comparison of the Slévárna Losenický and the Slévárna a strojírna companies based on solvency and bankruptcy models

This bachelor thesis is aimed at comparison and evaluation of financial health of the Slévárna Losenický s.r.o. and the Slévárna a strojírna, a.s. companies based on financial analysis application, particularly solvency and bankruptcy models, in the years 2004 - 2008. The bachelor thesis also deals with the explanatory power of the models. Both of the selected companies differ deliberately in their business success. The first mentioned one seems to be prosperous, while the second mentioned one has been undergoing insolvency proceeding since September 2009, but both of them are from the same branch of business and comparable with their amount of sales. In the theoretical part the bankruptcy theory, some elementary methods of financial analysis, i.e. horizontal and structural analysis, main financial ratios and net working capital indicator, are described first and then the extra attention is devoted to the solvency and bankruptcy models including their construction and evaluation criteria. In the practical part the mentioned methods and models are applied to both the selected companies and in the conclusion the explanatory power of applied solvency and bankruptcy models is evaluated.
