Evaluation of the Financial Situation in the Firm and Proposals to its Improvement

This diploma thesis deals with evaluation of financial situation of the company Antreg, a. s. between the years 2007 and 2012 and formulates suggestions for its improvement. First part of the work explains basic theoretical principles of financial and strategic analysis that will be used to elaborate the practical part. Second part of the work involves analysis of current conditions of selected company. This analysis is the basis for drafting of the third part which contains proposals and recommendations to improve current financial and business situation of the company.

The data necessary for financial analysis comes from financial statements of the company. Structure of the thesis is divided onto three parts. Theoretical part contains a set of crucial terms, methods and workflows which are important for designing the individual parts of financial analysis. These methods are practically applied in the practical part. Last part includes the proposals and measures for enhancing financial situation of the company.

Economic analysis of a chosen company

The Master's Thesis includes an economic analysis of the company Pivovar Rohozec, a. s. for the period 2007 to 2012. The main goal of this thesis is to find out an achieved financial health of the brewery and also how the firm is compared with the competition. The thesis is divided into two parts, it begins with a description of the methodology, continues with the practical part, where the economic analysis of the Pivovar Rohozec, a. s. is performed. The aim of Marter's Thesis is to apprise the balance rules, the financial analysis, the effects of financial and operating leverage, the Economic Value Added (EVA) indicator, evaluate indexes for prediction of bankruptcy and creditworthiness and also the inter-company comparisons.
