Individual, social and cultural factors shaping the use of amphetamine-type stimulants in Europe

Background: Amphetamine-type stimulants (ATS) encompass a varied assortment of substances that possess comparable pharmacological effects and stimulant characteristics. ATS display diversity in patterns of use among different substances and users' sociodemographic characteristics. The utilization of ATS is associated with both favorable and unfavourable outcomes. The biopsychosocial model of substance use provides a comprehensive framework for understanding ATS use. Aims: The primary objective of this study is to cultivate a thorough comprehension of the motivating factors driving individuals to initiate, cease, escalate, and/or curtail their ATS use. Material and methods: In a mixed methods approach, qualitative interviews were conducted to explore distinct groups of ATS users and one group of non-ATS users. These qualitative interviews then informed standardized quantitative computer-assisted personal interviews that utilized a range of (standard) instruments. The interviews were carried out in five European Union member states, and a minimum of five years had to elapse between the first usage of or exposure to ATS and the conducted interview. This thesis in theoretical part deals with short definitions algic syndrome cervical spine and the question of pain, introduces the basic anatomy and kinesiology cervical spine. It also deals with possible causes, diagnosis and therapy of functional disorders associated primarily with neck pains . The practical part is devoted to two case reports of patients with neck pain and chronic low back problems. The phenomenon of nature healing in the Czech republic

Term nautre healing in a name of this work is on the same level of meaning like the TCAM (Traditional, Complementary and Alternative Medicine). Thesis deals with the situation of TCAM in the Czech republic. If TCAM is really working or not is not important for this work. The teoretical part describes a history, actual form, TCAM policy, methods, risks and reasons to actual interest about that phenomenon. The practical part focuses on find out the level of interest about the TCAM and also for find out a reasons for visiting a healers. This part includes quantitative research where the questionnaire technique was used. The gathered data are sorted out in accordance with the answers of the respondents to the three specifical categories.
