Stabilization of bank

The subject of this bachelor’s thesis is assessment of reservoir banks Bystřička in terms of abrasion. Judgement is focused on two main points on the northeastern bank of the reservoir near the tributary. It is an area near the hotel Beskydská Tatranka. Thesis is finished with design of selected biotechnical measures to slow or stop erosions banks.

Proposal to revitalize the banks of the flooded Hulín sand pit

The master´s thesis deals with the assessment of the state of the shore territory on the Brno reservoir, in the Osada area and subsequently the proposal for shore stabilization. As part of a personal visit to the area of interest, photographic documentation, geodetic focus and subsequent assessment of the current state of the abraded shores were made. Using the geodetic focus and data of water heights on the reservoir provided by the Povodí Moravy, s.p. the most numerous in the reservoir was evaluated in 2007-2017, the coastline retreat and the proposed shore stabilization were determined. There was suggested totaly eight measures were proposed against the further retreat of the shore line, which were incorporated into schemes and visualizations.

Assessment of state banks and a proposal for stabilizing the selected dam reservoir

This thesis covers the state assessment of the selected bank sections of dam reservoirs Vranov and Boskovice. Data used and processed in this thesis were acquired by visiting both sites several times in order to perform measurements and make photographic documentation. Futhermore, data on reservoirs' water levels from 2000-2011 provided by Povodí Moravy s.p. were used. In order to determine bank line regression, the above-mentioned data were processed using the Šlezingr's modification of the method of abrasion terminants determination. Results for dam reservoirs Vranov and Boskovice are then compared with results of dam reservoir Brno, which were produced by the author within the framework of his bachelor thesis using the same method. At the end of the thesis, the author presents several possible forms of stabilization and protection of disrupted banks of dam reservoirs, including their drawings.

Functional changes of Vltava riverbanks in Prague

This diploma thesis deals with the functional changes of the banks of the Vltava river in the territory of today's Capital City of Prague. There have been significant changes in the functional use of this area due to large interventions in the bank line and the redevelopment of the embankment. During last 150 years changes are closely monitored. Changes were also made conditional on connecting nearby rural communities to Prague. Theoretical bases are the concepts of shore-side changes in urbanized areas, complemented by examples from the world that serve as a comparative study. Furthermore, the thesis is based on the theory of photography and the iconographic approach, which are essential for this work. The methodology of the thesis is based on the analysis of historical and contemporary photographs and information, on field research and vectorization of historical maps, where the course of the flow is monitored in four time periods (the mid-19th century until present). The work captures functional changes of banks in text form, as images and fundamental changes in tables. Part of the work is also a web application, where the changes in cartographic, picture and text form are again accessible to the public. Key words Vltava river, Prague, riverbank, waterfront

Use of Bank stabilization

The main topic of this bachelor thesis was to suggest biotechnical stabilization on choosen locality of water reservoir Seč. This locality was endangered and damaged by abrasion. The water reservoir is situated in Pardubický region, district Chrudim. This thesis included geodetic measurement, hydrotechnical calculation and in the end of the thesis several suggestions of possible biotechnical stabilization on choosen locality.
