Auditory evoked potentials and its sensing
Němečková, Pavla ; Svačinová, Jana (referee) ; Kolářová, Jana (advisor)
This thesis deals recording evoked potentials. The TruTrace EMG was used for the recording and data was collected from 10 volunteers. For a better understanding of this is issue, is explained auditory system, recording methods, stimulation pulses and stimulation headphones at first. The main goal of the thesis is to compare the current averaging method with the newly created method. The results from both methods were compared based on their standard error of the mean. Bayesian averaging, new method, was more successful in 65 % than the pre-set rejection method.
Audiometry
Stanický, Ondřej ; Chmelař, Milan (referee) ; Hrozek, Jan (advisor)
The first part of the thesis focuses on theory and deals with the basic physical terms as far as acoustics is concerned. It also deals with a description of auditory system, as well as graphical results of audiometrical methods. The second part to the thesis deals with a scheme of audiometer for hearing tests. It also deals with the description of the programme as well as the transfer of the decibel scale to electric voltage and its correction. The last chapter contains the data collected during the hearing tests.

Hlučnost výrobních strojů ve vybraném podniku
VOJTA, Jiří
The diploma thesis deals with noise measurement. The theoretical part contains the knowledge gained by studying literature. I have described acoustics, sound and noise, noise and health and legislative contexts as well as noise reduction methods. The practical part contains information about the company and individual machinery, the results of measurements and their evaluation according to valid legislation. I have suggested appropriate measures to reduce the noise burden on operators.

A behavioral and electrophysiological study of the effects of noise exposure on auditory function in rat
Rybalko, Natalia ; Mazelová, Jana ; Syka, Josef
The values of the gap detection threshold doubled after exposure to 110 dB SPL and quadrupled after exposure to 115-120 dB SPL. GDT recovered to the original values during 1-2 weeks. Increased gap detection thresholds after noise exposure appear connected with elevated hearing thresholds, the deterioration in the performance of some animals in behavioral rasts after strong intensity noise (120 dB SPL) may signal the occurrence of tinnitus in these animals.
Peripheral and central changes of the auditory system in the elderly
Mazelová, Jana ; Popelář, Jiří ; Valvoda, Jaroslav ; Syka, Josef
We compared the hearing abilities of 15 elderly subjects with a group of 15 young normal hearing. The results of this study support the opinion of many other suthors that the problems of aged people do not result ohly from elevated audiometric thresholds, but also from processes of central oring.
