Experimental ultrasonic measurement using LabView
Baše, Michal ; Jiřík, Radovan (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with ultrasonic field, measurement of its attenuation and measurement using LabVIEW. There are explained basic parameters of ultrasonic transducers and the ultrasonic field. Two methods for measuring ultrasonic attenuation and modification of the second one were proposed. There are introduced two programs in the LabVIEW for attenuation measurement, first one generates continual signal, which is brought to transducer and second one generates pulse of a few periods of sine. At the end there are showed produce of measurement using these programs.
Ultrasound attenuation measurement
Feller, Michal ; Kolář, Radim (referee) ; Jiřík, Radovan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with ultrasound attenuation measurement methods. Variety of methods are developed and tested . Castor oil was used as reference material. Different kinds of ultrasound transducers, hydrophone and ultrasound scanner GE Vingmed SystemFive were used for measurement. Data was processed by scripts developed in matlab.
Testing the transmission parameters of multi-core optical fibers
Chrenčík, Dominik ; Münster, Petr (referee) ; Látal, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the problematics of multicore optical fibers and the measuring of their transmission properties. The first part briefly deals with optical fibers in general, then discusses in detail multicore optical fibers, their transmission properties, transmission techniques, splicing and production methods, types of multicore optical fibers, use and measurements performed on specific fibers. The next part deals with the design of a measurement model in the simulation tool VPIphotonics and the simulation of optical fiber measurement. The last part deals with the practical measurement of multicore optical fiber using the method of insertion loss, OTDR method and evaluation of measurement results.
