Anoikonyms in the Týnec Region
Breburdová, Tereza ; Nedvědová, Blanka (advisor) ; Šmejkalová, Martina (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to collect, categorise, and analyse current anoikonyms belonging to the cadastral area of Týnec nad Sázavou and Bukovany. The theoretical part of the thesis introduces anoikonyms from the general point of view. Moreover, there is a chapter which describes the researched area. The practical part of the thesis is based on the process of collecting current anoikonyms and their categorisation. The data was collected from maps, literature, and field research. All anoikonyms were ordered alphabetically and described in terms of localisation, type, word formation, and motivation. Subsequently, the anoikonyms were analysed according to Šmilauer's meaning classification, type classification, and method of creation. At the end of the practical part, the anoikonyms are compared with their variants.

BARTUŠKOVÁ, Barbora
The diploma thesis deals with toponyms around the village Třešt' in Vysočina. Oikonyms and anoikonyms are analysed. The thesis loosely follows my bachelor thesis Street names in Třešt'. The theoretical part introduces onomastics, toponomastics and etymology. The practical part will be divided into two main chapters. One chapter will deal with oikonyms, i.e. names of villages, their name motivation, the other will analyze anoikonyms. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the names of villages and non-residential objects around the village Třešt' and also to find their etymology with the help of oikonymic and anoikonymic dictionaries, cadastral maps, chronicles and narratives of eyewitnesses.
Ways, Possibilities and Problems of Using Synchronic Czech and Slovak Anoikonymical Material in Historical Dialectology
Harvalík, Milan ; Valentová, I.
The research of anoikonyms (minor place names, in other terminologies also feature names, field names or microtoponyms) has recently attracted the attention of toponomasticians not only in Slavonic countries, but also worldwide. The aim of this paper is to show the possibilities and ways of using the synchronic anoikonymical material collected for Czech and Slovak minor place names dictionaries in historical dialectology. Given the specific functions of proper names, it is obvious that we cannot take the same approach to anoikonyms as to common nouns. For this reason, special attention is paid to differences in the methods of their dialectological and onomastic analyses. The considerations presented here are based on the study of Czech and Slovak proper names nevertheless, the authors hope that the results formulated in this paper can be applied in general.
Anoikonyms in cadastre units in the municipality of Bezděkov, district of Klatovy
NOVÁ, Olga
The topic of this master thesis focuses the occurrence of anoikonyms in the cadastral area of Bezděkov near Klatovy and its belonging villages. Marginally, it builds on the bachelor theses that had analysed the oikonyms of the Ecoregion Úhlava where the abovementioned cadastral area is situated. This topic has been extended to minor-place names, the anoikonyms. The research is based on a data set available in the digital database of Geoportal ČÚZK (Czech Office for Surveying, Mapping and Cadastre). The categorization of anoikonyms is executed according to Vladimír Šmilauer's classification, further according to Jana Pleskalová's model analyses of minor-place names which is based on Rudolf Šrámek's classification of toponyms. Libuše Olivová-Nezbedová's formal classification has been also taken account of. A derivational analysis of anoikonyms is included. The goal of this thesis is to list and classify the minor-place names in the cadastral area of Bezděkov.
On Motivation of Moravian and Silesian Anoikonyms Derivate from the Appellative kámen
Šimečková, Marta
This paper deals with motivation of Moravian and Silesian minor place names containing the basic noun kámen ‚stone‘, e. g. Kameňák (the suffix -ák was attached to the respective noun to create this anoikonym), Kamenice (with the suffix -ice), Kamenička (with the suffix -ička). There are numerous motivations, the most frequent is the motivation of soil quality and of location (especially in prepositional anoikonyms, for example Mezi kamencem, Na kamenici). Other motivations are rare: motivation of a particular stone as significant part of the landscape, motivation of building material or stone mining. The frequency of these motivations is different from the frequency of motivations in underived anoikonyms (or anoikonyms containing plural form of the fundamental word Kameny; in this type of anoikonyms, motivation by a particular stone in the site is more frequent). The motivation is hard to determine in some cases, the interpretation can be impeded by bachelor's etymology therefore it is necessary to cooperate with old maps.

Word-formation specificities of Bohemian minor place-names
Štěpán, Pavel
The article, based on the theory of parasystemic word-formation, summarises some results of the research on the word-formation aspect of the names of unsettled geographic objects in Bohemia. The examples of parasystemic word-formation analysed in the paper include both suffixation and composition. The analysed suffixes are devided into three groups: (1) suffixes not occurring in common nouns, (2) suffixes whose function in toponyms is different from their usual function(s) in common nouns, (3) suffixes used exclusively for the formation of expressive nouns in the common-noun sphere. The shorter section dedicated to composition concentrates on one special type of compound adjectives which is typical of the proper-noun sphere of the Czech language.
