Svobodová, Veronika
The aim of this bachelor thesis was to research methods and processes used for historical sight exploration and then based on analyses create a draft restoration plan that would come out of the original idea and would support current use of the sight. The target historical sight selected for this thesis were derelict estates of the castle of Radim in Central Bohemia. After literature review and terrain exploration the draft restoration plan was created reflecting needs and wishes of all parties involved. The proposal of the park connects its earlier forms and creates a balanced whole. There is also a restoration plan for the kitchen garden and the castle courtyard. These areas were interpreted in a simple manner to meet their main purposes. The whole project was regularly consulted with both sight owner and representatives of the National Heritage Institute. The intention was to come up with a proposal that that could be also used as a base for intended restoration work of the Radim Castle estates.
