Kovaříková, Ludmila ; Grepl, Mojmír (referee) ; Maroš, Bohumil (advisor)
The aim of Master's thesis is to apply statistical methods in production process. The assignment of the thesis is to describe and evaluate pressing process which is the part of posistor production. The first theoretical part contains introduction to the mathematical statistics, verifying assumptions about the data, describing the regression analysis, the analysis of variance and the part of the design of experiment. The second practical part is focused on design, performing and interpreting of experiments. The thesis is developed according to requirements of company EPCOS s.r.o. Šumperk. Statistical program MINITAB Rlease 14, which is supported by company, was used for all computations.
Effectiveness of DOE
Subjective assessment of disturbing noise from gramophone records
Vlašín, Martin ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Rášo, Ondřej (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on distortion that occurs by playing gramophone records. Due to functional principle of turntable and due to origin of individual distortion, which may occur while playing records, were selected two most significant and most frequently occurring distortion. For these distortion is studied their effect on subjective assessment of audio record. From data obtained from participants in the listening test was performed statistical analysis, also test of reliability and detection of any possible errors occurring in the assessments of individual listeners. The conclusions from results confirmed differences between two distortions and also between different audio samples on the subjective perception of the quality of audio experience for listener.
Statistical analysis of real manufacturing process data
Effective operation of up-to-date waste-to-energy units
Cafourková, Tereza ; Pavlas, Martin (referee) ; Touš, Michal (advisor)
The main content of this thesis is a suggestion of computing system for efficient energy manufacture. The introduction devotes to description of up-to-date waste-to-energy units (EVO), it concentrates on Incinerator of municipal wastes of TERMIZO a.s., specifically. In the main body of this work is the data analysis of factory journal that has been implemented, results have been used as mathematical model output value. These activities are necessary for computing system suggestion. Resulting optimization of batch wasting plan with maximum economic effect for entrepreneur is the main output of this work. Conclusion consists of environmental and economic evaluation of operation of up-to-date waste-to-energy units and offers another optimization posibility.
Variance and Covariance Analysis with an application to financial data
Hájková, Anna ; Zichová, Jitka (advisor) ; Hudecová, Šárka (referee)
This Bachelor Thesis is dedicated to analysis variance and co- variance with and application to financial data. The aim of this thesis is to inform about multidimensional ANOVA and to show its connection with one- dimensional ANOVA, which is a part of standart statistical textbooks. Other part describes the analysis of covariance. For the better understanding, most of methods are applicated to financial data in the program Mathematica 8.0 1
Functional ANOVA
Dolník, Viktor ; Dvořák, Jiří (advisor) ; Nagy, Stanislav (referee)
We introduce the concept of functional data and the problem of functional analysis of variance, which differs from the univariate case in the fact that random functions, not random variables, are the subject of comparison. We continue by deriving an asymptotic test for functional one-way ANOVA from the elementary univariate F-test. We describe the simulation envelope test, whose global version suffers from the multiple comparisons problem. Then, an ordering is defined, based on which we create the rank envelope test, a stronger alternative to the simulation envelope test. We also describe how the rank test can be interpreted graphically. Using the rank envelope test, we devise another test for functional one-way ANOVA, which is also graphically interpretable and thus does not need a post-hoc analysis to identify which groups caused rejection of the null hypothesis. We compare the one-way ANOVA tests on a real-case study and a simulation study. 1
Use of laboratory and image spectroscopy to evaluate drought resistance of Scots pine and to distinguish its ecotypes
Raasch, Filip ; Kupková, Lucie (advisor) ; Potůčková, Markéta (referee)
The aim of this study was to propose a non-destructive method for measuring Pinus sylvestris seedlings, to determine whether water stress would be evident in laboratory spectra of pines, to compare whether the response of pines would differ by ecotype, and to investigate whether two ecotypes of Pinus sylvestris could be distinguished using laboratory and image spectroscopy. For these purposes, hyperspectral images of seed orchards from August 2020 were processed and a three-month laboratory experiment was conducted, in which stress from water deficit was induced in two-year-old pine seedlings from the upland and hilly ecotypes. Spectral data were analysed using mixed statistical models, analysis of variance, principal component analysis, training of supervised pixel classifiers, vegetation indices, and linear regression. Based on the analyses, it was found that water stress can be detected in severely stressed Pinus sylvestris seedlings. The most sensitive spectral bands to water content were observed in the region between 1000-2500 nm. The initial response to water stress did not differ by ecotype, but a faster recovery was observed at the upland ecotype after the period of draught. The two Pinus sylvestris ecotypes were distinguished with high accuracy from both laboratory and image spectral...
Chování generace Y na trhu s biopotravinami
Mazúrová, Katarína
Mazúrová, K. Generation Y behavior in Organic Food Market. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel university in Brno, 2019. This master thesis studies behavior of Generation Y on organic food market. The main goal of thesis is to identify factors, motives and stimules, which leads to mentioned generation to purchase organic food and suggest recommendations based on primary and secondary research. Factors, motives and stimules were identified using the factor analysis. The practical part consists of analysis current situation on organic food market abroad and localy and analysis of primary research. In conclusion of the thesis there are improvement suggestions for subjects on organic food market and summarised results of the thesis.
k-sample problem with ordered alternative
Nováková, Martina ; Hlávka, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Pešta, Michal (referee)
In this thesis we deal with k-sample problem with ordered alternative. At the beginning of the thesis isotonic regression is introduced. We use isotonic regression for maximum likelihood estimation of ordered parameters. In the second chapter, we describe the χ2 and E 2 tests that use the knowledge of isotonic regression and are based on the likelihood ratio. The exact null hypothesis distributions of their test statistics are derived in detail. The one-sided studentized range test is also further described. At the end of the thesis, we show the use of the E 2 test on the real data. 1
