The attitude of social workers and workers in social services on the issue of alcohol addiction among women in the context of stigmatization

The diploma thesis discusses the issue of women's alcohol consumption and the stigma associated with this phenomenon from the perspective of social workers and workers in social services. It addresses alcohol dependence and the specificities associated with women's dependence, as well as the issue of social stigma and the social impact of female alcohol dependence. The focus is on the problem of female alcoholism in the context of social work and social services. The aim of the research investigation is to explore the views and attitudes of social workers and social services toward female clients with alcohol dependence and to identify potential stigmatization. The research investigation takes the form of an online questionnaire survey and semi-structured interviews. Through the analysis of the research results, it is observed that, in general, the attitudes of social workers and social service workers toward female clients with alcohol dependence are neutral. Social workers and social service workers acknowledge that working with clients with alcohol dependence is more challenging, but they express the opinion that, in their practice, there is no differential
