Iranian Islamic Revolution and its Reflexion in Modern Iran

Bachelor thesis focuses on Iranian Islamic Revolution of 1979 which fundamentally influenced relations and development in the Middle East. The aim is to detect the presence of the principles of the revolution in contemporary Iran. The first two chapters characterize the revolution in general, the remaining three chapters focus on the process of revolution, achieved changes and its reflextion in Iran in the period from 2000 to 2016.

The thesis, which focuses on the revolution in Iran from 1979 to 1989, is divided into seven chapters. The first two chapters describe in detail the causes of the revolution and biografy of Chomejni. The third part focuses on the new constitution and political climate in the country. The thesis also deals with shiites clergy; and the fatwa imposed on Salman Rushdie. The chapter five mainly describes the eight-year-long iran-iraq war. Part six describes the Hizbullah movement and Shiites opposition in Iraq during the reign of Saddam Husain. The last chapter of the work provides assessment of the revolution and its consequences.
